He can't do that.... who gets paid and does not, is not his call. This guy still does not understand the role of POTUS. His powers are NOT absolute, but very much defined, as are the powers of the other co-equal branches of government. The power of the purse rests with Congress; the House specifically.

...not to mention the fact that neither of those organizations are in a position to "fight the virus", they are only in a position to provide comfort to those inflicted. This, however, would be typical Republican response to problems: treat the symptoms; ignore the disease.

Then again, silly me for even being in this section where people post their favorite articles from the favorite political porn sites and solicit comments as if we are suppose discussion something that is real. Why am I indulging this guy's fantasies? Time to head back to earth. There simply is not enough oxygen for clear thinking and intelligent discourse in this section of DP.

WHO already decided let China to have top say in the narrative, especially when they rallied around China's response to human-to-human transmissions, did not consider warnings and concerns from Taiwan (who China flat out refused to participate in the WHO emergency meetings) and communicated to the world that COVID-19 could not be transmitted between humans.
