‘We’re not a shipping clerk’: Trump tells governors to step up efforts to get medical supplies

There was a poll about which government you trust to deal with the coronavirus

Federal 45%
Local 65%
State 75%

So nobody trusts the fed.

"The feds" are currently run by an utterly corrupt, dishonest, narcissitic, moronic, embarrassment of an excuse for a "man".

Yes, actually. Why authorize the Defense Production Act if you’re not going to use it? Hospitals are setting up sewing stations for people to sew masks. But the President can’t direct companies to manufacture supplies?

Nonsense. The right — especially under this president — is all too happy to allow companies to send jobs over seas and avoid us taxes and regulations.

Riiiight. Only ‘lefties’ are panicking. I guess that’s why my MAGA family and friends in Texas can’t find toilet paper.

You believe medical equipment factories are built, staff hired, trained and items out the door in a couple weeks? Wow..are you never going to make it through an apocolypse.

It’s called repurposing. Like when car manufacturers switched over to making airplane parts for the war effort during ww2. Perhaps you’ve heard of it.

The loser of the free world probably couldn't work a shipping clerk's job effectively.

Yeah so which factory are you speaking of?
Several garment manufacturers have refitted their equipment to produce masks. Dearborn denim, a local jeans manufacturer here in Chicago Is sending out this email
Over the last few days, we’ve figured out the manufacturing process for face masks to help with the shortage of personal protection equipment.

Initially, I believed hospitals were in most dire need of the masks.

They are and will continue to be.

However, it seems our masks are best suited for primary care facilities and essential businesses that are unable to source standard protection.

If you (or anyone you know) are in need of a bulk supply of washable fabric masks, email us at info@dearborndenim.com

The plan was never to sell these online, but inquiries from our community are pushing us to help wherever we can.

If you are in need of a protective mask for personal use, you can grab one here.
