That's not was being offered and you know it. What was being offered was illegally obtained materials by a hostile foreign government who was similarly offering its assistance to the Trump campaign. Russian asset/agent Mifsud approached Trump foreign policy advisor PapaD and told him that Russia had "dirt" on Clinton based on "thousands of emails". PapaD told the campaign and then Russia literally offered to the campaign the very information Mifsud told them Russia had illegally stolen.
Mifsud denies telling PapaD that Russia had "thousands of emails." He said he told him that Russia had information on Mrs. Clinton.
Mifsud was never charged with perjury.
It appears that what happened is that PapaD assumed that the information Mifsud spoke about was the missing Clinton emails.
That's what he told Downer.
When the DNC emails were released, Downer assumed these were the emails PapaD was talking about.
In other words, it was all one big mis-communication.
It should be pointed out that the Trump campaign never received information from Russia.
You claiming everyone knew what Russia was offering in exchange for the Trump Tower meeting and that it somehow made it NOT collusion is a lie. Russia reached out to the campaign, told them they had illegally obtained materials, offered those materials to the campaign (as part of "its government's support for Mr. Trump"), to which the campaign said "I love it" and took a meeting to get those materials. That is collusion and no lie anyone tries to spin will change the fact it is collusion.
That's fair enough to criticize Trump Jr (a real estate developer with no experience with foreign intrigue BTW) for this. But again no information was ever received.
Meanwhile, the Clinton campaign had no problem seeking and accepting anti-Trump information from Russia. The Obama Admin had no problem using such information, and unverified information despite the availability of the vast power and experience of the government, against an American citizen.
So in reality, who comes off worse here?
