Russian Media Freak Over Joe Biden’s Election Resurrection

The Kremlin-controlled media hoped and, it would seem, believed that Bernie Sanders would get the Democratic nomination, paving the way to victory for Donald Trump.

Russian propagandists echoed that anticipation. Appearing on Rossiya 24, analyst Dmitry Drobnitsky predicted that in the event Sanders does not receive a nomination, street protests and violence will follow: “There will be unrest in Milwaukee… There will be a repeat of the 1968 Democratic Convention [riots] in Chicago.”
Last year, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report identified "dozens" of U.S. political rallies organized on social media by the Internet Research Agency (IRA), a Russian troll farm whose operatives were indicted for interfering with the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

---So there it is, the Russian plan for influencing American elections.
The facts are the facts. Bernie has a loyal following and rightly so, but unfortunately his numbers are about a third less than they were in 2016, and the youth vote that he was counting on this time around actually evaporated compared to even 2016.

But through it all, The Kremlin has been hoping for a repeat of Chicago 1968, the Democratic Convention, when there was violence in the streets, and where the Left sat out the election, giving us Nixon instead of Humphrey.
But Trump isn't Nixon.
He's not even fit to shine Nixon's shoes, and I say that as a liberal Democrat who voted for Sanders in the primaries in California last week.

I love Bernie, I think he would do a lot of good for America. But his numbers clearly say that America apparently isn't ready for steps that big. We don't have the stomach for it. We don't have "the GUTS", the political will.

So I ask all of you, is the solution four more years of Donald Trump, and fulfillment of The Kremlin's desires?

Russian meddling in foreign elections has hurt Russia far more than it's hurt foreign countries.

With all it's natural resources, Russia should be a huge Norway. Instead Russia has a lower GDP than Brazil.

Russia is grossly mismanaged, and their election meddling is just one example of this.

To me, Biden is a return to business as usual. Bernie was not. But at the end of the day, its like you said, folks aren't ready for Sanders yet.

They will be once they realize how far and fast automation will reach. Once they realize that machines don't buy houses, cars, have kids, or go to college.

Where's the part where they freaked out? If the "pheonix raised from the ashes" part is supposed be the freak, it's actually an accurate statement.

Bernie promised a revolution, but what Americans want most at this juncture is Trump out of office and an end to the daily chaos.

People are suffering from Trump fatigue and "Sleepy Joe" Biden seems the perfect antidote to Trumps constant toxicity.

The leftist election mantra used to be Abortion! Social Security! Racist!!! every four years you could set your alarm clock by it. Now they ahve added a fourth horseman to the mix...RUSSIA!!!!!

So the leftists took words from BERNIE SANDERS campaign staff...that the convention is going to burn like 1968....

and are going to turn THAT into RUSSIA SUPPORTS TRUMP.

Again.

Because seriously...with either of those two clowns at the top of the rat party heap...what ELSE are they going to run on?

I sure do wish you would share over at The Rant.
Much as I like and admire Bernie, and wish he would be our next President, it's clear to me that even if he won, he would lack the base he needs in Congress with the Democrats. They would fight him almost as much as the Republicans.

I'll never forget 2014 and Democrats "running away from Obama" because a couple of Republicans said he was a "socialist".

The non-stop fake McCarthy fear mongering about the Russians shows just are absurdly gullible most Democrats are.

Trump and his master Putin do not want Joe Biden to be the Democratic nominee.

That is pretty much all real Americans need to make their decision to vote for Biden.

That's as good as the Republican mantra to lower spending....and then increase it. Every 2 years tgey care about it, then do nothing. If course that doesn't bother you.

Irrelevant nonsense.

All manner of parties create "influence."

And the greatest election interference in this country comes from the oligarchy and the media they control.

They pick the candidates and endlessly pimp their anti-democratic values.

THAT is the real danger, not some ridiculous Russian bogeyman.

The non-stop fake McCarthy fear mongering about the Russians shows just are absurdly gullible most Democrats are.

Indeed.

Fiona Hill, former white House adviser: "Putin keeps all of us, the entire political class of America, under control ."
"Fiona Hill is recognized by Western political elites and intelligence communities as the largest expert putinologist"....

Well, then you're finished. Soon you will use magic and spirits in your analyses. If this is the best that the West has to offer, it is better to surrender immediately

Maybe if right wing racists didn't threaten social security and desire to subjugate women to their magical jesus, we could return to focusing on their low IQs and abundant greed. It's something to work toward.

So I ask all of you, is the solution four more years of Donald Trump, and fulfillment of The Kremlin's desires?

Well, if it gets the more liberal half of the country to finally start playing like they've got some backbone, then it might be worth it in the end. Hard to say though.

We don't have the money for Bernie's plans, nor the total disregard for a democratic system or a capitalist economy.

.... dignity, decency, civility, the rule of law, respect for American institutions, healthcare, protecting medicare and social security, knowing who are friends are, and now, it appears, the economy.

For the Republicans: they can go with the Mexicans are rapists (and hate in general)....and, of course the evil "DEEP STATE" and similar fantasies.... and, maybe for good measure, promise people tax cuts (that we can't afford) knowing that most people won't see those cuts, but their wealthy friends will.....

Surprised that trump couldn’t tell putin and bin salman to knock it off?

Cite a single time when someone said "Mexicans are rapists".

As bad as Trump is...you people are worse.

I voted for Bernie, but after listening to Rick Wilson's video at the Commonwealth club conference, he's pretty much changed my mind, that Biden is the best choice to beat Trump. So, I will definitely vote for Biden during the general, as it looks like he's going to be the nominee.

I don't see Biden as that strong of a candidate, but a majority of the population are sick of Trump, and that is why he will beat him, as, as Biden put it, 'like a drum'.

It is a falsehood to measure the success of a political system by a GDP statistic.

Yes we do. We obviously do.

nor the total disregard for a democratic system or a capitalist economy.

When has Bernie said that he wants to do away with democracy or capitalism in its entirety? He wants to nationalize how we pay for medical services, but otherwise leave the capitalist economy intact.

Same here, I cast my primary vote for Bernie, then watched as his much needed youth vote fizzled.
And to be honest, that's really what forced me to reckon with my conscience over a Biden vote.
We can't FORCE people to understand that Bernie is a 21st century FDR.
If they don't "get it", then they don't get it, it's just that simple.

They don't.

And it means that if we want Trump gone, and we want to wipe out Mitch McConnell's iron-fisted control, and take both chambers in Congress, we will need to show up and vote. My own kids voted...they are millennials, but I guess a lot of their friends didn't bother.

I cannot afford to stand on ceremony.
My health is failing, and with a disabled wife and disabled son, it's a fair bet that we will not survive another four years of this mess.
After this round of primaries is over, if Bernie doesn't get the numbers he needs, I hope that he will do the honorable thing and withdraw.
It doesn't make sense to be Don Quixote.
I do also hope that he will pressure Joe Biden to broaden his reach and make a serious effort to make peace with more left-leaning wing of the party.

Ash, just a quick note to let you know there are people who are immune.
You can explain it but they will scream "LALALALALA I can't HEAR YOU!"

US President Donald Trump will not come to Moscow for the Victory day parade on may 9, the Kremlin said.
And he wanted to... The American President has long ceased to be among the winners. Not even the owner of his own decisions .
