There is no way in hell that you can "come out" as being gay when you are nine years old. It's disgusting when parents encourage young children due to peer pressure from the PC, SJW nutjobs. For Christ's sake, parents are encouraging young children into sex change operations.

The problem for that child is finding out too much too soon.


I had no idea about gay or straight at that age, it was 1959. It was never mentioned, nor shown, and porn was not available.

Kids, as I was one, played with each other whenever they could get away with it, at night, staying at friends houses. It wasn't even thought of as sex, just kids being curious.

If a kid, at that age, is told about this, he'd think he was "gay".

I'd say most kids are gay at that age, and heterosexuality doesn't really take root until about the 6th grade, or so.

I'd say if you are not hetero by the time you are in 7th grade, when the hormones will kick in, when you are not ashamed to admit to friends you like girls, you can accept that you are gay.

I mean, what boy in the 3rd or 4th grade will admit he likes girls? He doesn't, nothing to admit.

When we, as boys, saw adults kiss on TV, we thought it was 'yucky'.

Today's movies, internet, are destroying kids, I really believe it -- if I hear about a 9 year old asking an adult how to come out as gay, that's crazy, and any adult who doesn't properly counsel that child is doing that kid a disservice.

What is roblox and fortnite? All we had as kids were wiffle balls, hoola hoops, cap guns, sling shots, yo yos, etc.

The fact that the child asked the Pete Buttigieg question he just can me out as being gay.

I'd tell him to just be himself and be proud of who you are.

Not only Pete, how about Liz Warren. Warren suggested that a 9 year old transgirl would have to give the
OK before Warren would approve a particular candidate for a cabinet post in her administration.
Someone who hasn't yet sufficiently remembered the multiplication tables has to give the OK before Warren appoints cabinet members?

The advice Pete should have given the child was that if the child as an adult every became a gay politician running for high office,
do not compete in South Carolina or for that matter the entire deep south Bible Belt.

Children today are learning that they can get a lot of attention by delving into questions of "social justice". Facebook, twitter, etc. all prime kids to be vitual attention whores. Then many teachers prime others to the idea that in order to relevant you need to claim some brand of 'victim status.'

9 year olds should be asking their parents questions, not put out to grandstand for others who would use them as political pawns.

It IS disturbing.

All good points you make on the matter.

It shouldn't surprise any of us though, given how extreme certain groups are about these matters, which is also a disturbing trend that is helpful to no one.
