Clint Eastwood has revealed that he no longer is a supporter of Donald Trump after voting for him in the 2016 presidential election.
The 89-year-old actor and director, who also supported Mitt Romney during the 2012 election, is now endorsing Michael Bloomberg for president.
“The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there,” he said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Eastwood says that he approves of “certain things” that Trump has done as president, but he would have liked to see him do it “in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names. I would personally like for him to not bring himself to that level.”.

he won't go down without a fight. He somehow amassed 67 billion dollars and has a big ego. Too bad (for him) he has zero likability to go along with it.

Now I suppose Trump never liked Clint anyway, and there was that time that Clint begged Trump to help him get a movie made but Trump wouldn't do it, and Clint is dumb as a box of rocks.

Or something like that.

Well, so long as Eastwood doesn't talk to an empty chair while endorsing Bloomberg I suppose it can't hurt. Bloomberg's got some serious PR issues to sort out if he's really interested at being viable. I still feel embarrassed for him after the first debate.
 
I don't care if Clint votes for the other daughter of Trump he is still one of my favorite actors.

Some of my favorite Clint lines.
“Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn’t have messed with? That’s me.”

“Well I haven’t exactly been the monk of the month or anything like that but I have been making an effort.”

and of course your favorite too: “I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?”
 
Yeah, he does make very good movies. Even his lesser known comedies like Every Which Way But Loose and Any Which You Can are entertaining.

The significance is not Eastwood's endorsement. It shows just how deep the opposition to the crude and abrasive personal side of Trump is to many people. If he loses re-election, it will not be because of Trump the president, but because of Trump the off-the-cuff ranting asshole.

If Trump wins is cause the Democrats endorse all the evils in the world. If Trump loses its cause of his off the cuff stuff, it's all his fault. Trump never loses cause other people best him.

It's how you get past his discrimination lawsuits and lies about his payments to prostitutes and lip service to neonazis and ethnostate dictators.

Trump is always going to be who he is, he is going to serve America authentically, something that Clint should be able to understand.
