CAMBRIDGE, Mass. It's the law that you need a license to drive.

But, if you're undocumented and driving without a license in Cambridge, police have been advised not to arrest you for that.

So breaking the law is ok for Libs. Unsurprised they will publically endorse criminals. An American-born citizen can get a permanent record for driving without one but an illegal with no papers can drive around America with no license or identification creating victims, importing drugs, and conducting gang activity.

"We need to protect our community members from a federal government that's out of control," said Cambridge City Councilor Quinton Zondervan. "There are no other reasons for the police to arrest someone, give them a court summons instead which keeps them out of the clutches of the Trump administration."

This idiot is insane street trash and needs to be in federal court for aiding and abetting federal criminals. Trump needs to clean slate all disobeying Lib controlled cities and states and charge them millions in fines for every immigrant they release on the street.

It's all part of a new law that passed unanimously in the city, which encourages police to summons unlicensed drivers instead of arresting them. The procedure has already been practiced for a while, but city leaders said they felt compelled to officially make it a law, in fear of what could happen to immigration laws should President Trump be re-elected.

Local PD has neither the information nor the authority to convict you on the spot of being an illegal immigrant. Trying to grant them that authority guarantees that US citizens will be arrested for "being an illegal immigrant." US citizens have been held without trial for months, even years, for being suspected of being an illegal immigrant. Guess what color they tend to be.

Do you support that?

Oh, I know, right wingers will get all mad over my describing it that way. But let's think about this:

Cop pulls me over, for speeding or whatever. The crime in question isn't "being an illegal immigrant." It's driving without a license. If I forget my wallet on my run to go get milk, that doesn't make me an illegal immigrant. So how is the police officer deciding, on the spot, that I'm suspected of being an illegal immigrant? If he already has a warrant for my arrest, the entire conversation is moot. I'm going to jail, this law explicitly does not cover me here. So he doesn't have an arrest warrant. Why am I being arrested as an illegal immigrant?

It's absolutely based on skin color and accent.

I do not support unlicensed drivers. No license means no insurance. No insurance means if they kill somebody, the victim's family is **** out of luck. Do you support that?

Considering Trump cut the Global Entry program in New York, the state - among others - has allowed illegals to drive around and wreck havoc with no papers, including drivers licenses (though I believe NY has now allowed illegals to gain DLs but they're still illegals).

It's already against the law to drive without a license. This is unrelated to an immigration-related arrest.

Remember that the suspect has been pulled over and discovered to be driving without a license. Not discovered to be an illegal immigrant.

Democratic discrimination against American citizens continues to grow.

If an American revoked their USA citizenship could that person then claim illegal immigrant legal protections?

Someone who is arrested or ticketed for driving without a license should sue under the Constitution's "equal treatment under the law" - arguing it is unconstitutional to arrest and imprison people because they are American citizens as punishment for citizenship.

You didn't even read the OP, did you? It does not say the police were told to arrest no one who doesn't have a drivers license, did it? It said don't arrest illegal immigrants only.

Name a US citizen arrested for being an illegal immigrant and held without trial for years, though that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

Unless a truly major crime, when illegal immigrants who committed crimes are caught, they are merely deported.

As an American do I have that same protection? If arrested for a Class A misdemeanor or a low grade felony, can I say "OK, then give me a one-way ticket to Mexico" rather than sentenced to jail? Then I just walk back across the border.

Why don't Americans have the same rights as illegal immigrants within the USA criminal justice system? Why can't an American drive without a driver's license in Cambridge?

I support deportation and therefore there is no accident. Insurance doesn't bring back to life people murdered by illegal immigrant DUI accidents. Not in the USA means no accident in the USA.

Having a driver's license does not insure anyone has insurance. It means they at least made a fake insurance card or paid for 1 month, nothing else. It is a false rationalization trying to defend greater criminal conduct. It is no different than claiming no one should be sent to prison because then there would be no violence in prison.
