Mike Bloomberg takes 2nd place in new Democratic primary poll, qualifies for Wednesday's debate

Thar's just one of a multitude of financial sins ...

Also, I don't believe he ever hired 200 undocumented Polish workers to tear down a building at sub standard pay, if any pay at all, as Trump did. When they complained of receiving no pay, he threatened to deport them. Obviously they did not recognize the great honor of serving Trump. He had to settle that case in the 1990's, while proclaiming he did not know they were undocumented. Uh huh.

There's that, and if one supports the idea that a business person is an ideal person to be president because of their business savvy, then he should be the top candidate.

:)

I would say that Bloomberg is a much more adept businessman, and also has the political experience of being Mayor of a major American city.

The financial capital of the world no less.
:)

That's what they are saying, with Mayor Pete for VP. Though every one of them said they would vote for Bernie or Warren if that's the ticket.

Personally I think the eventual nominee should take a second look at Kamala Harris.
Pete for Veep? Yeah, I could see it. I could see Klobuchar too, setting her loose in the all important Midwest. But Harris? I'm tellin' ya'! If a Veep's job during the election is to be the attack dog, baby she's the real deal! She'd be excellent. Otherwise, save her for A.G. & let her look at Barr-Giuliiani-Trump, and all the other criminals and quasi-criminals Trump poisoned our government with.

But Buttigieg would be a good guy to have in waiting if he could get into office as Veep. In 8 years, I think the country just might be there.

He's a hyper-motivated nanny stater. **** that. He has also completely ****ed himself with the minority vote. He's the worst choice in the current Democratic field.

Way to play into the trump cultists and the Sanders cultists.

nominate an appealing candidate if you want my vote. Bloomberg isn't that candidate. i'll support any of the other non-orange idiot candidates.

Your vote in Indiana won’t mean anything. My vote in Illinois may now matter with Socialist Bernie leading the ticket. Enjoy another four years of what you call the orange idiot.

Correct, many Democrats actually so love Trump they want their own Super Trump - even more egotistical, more arrogant, blurts our more offensive rants, definitely is more racist against black people by a factor of 100, richer and even more an autocratic economic conservative than Trump.

Remember, Bloomberg said he switched to being a Democrat - at age 76 less than 2 years ago - so he can run on the Democratic ticket specifically to prevent any of the real Democratic candidates from being nominated. Simply put, Bloomberg is the anti-liberal, anti-Democratic candidate.

Increasing number of white Democrats will want Bloomberg because they want Trump. With Bloomberg changing and putting a "D" after his name at age 76 in 2018 is the only qualifications he needs to be the Democratic Party's very own Donald Trump.

I WILL REMIND I POSTED THAT BLOOMBERG WILL BE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY'S NOMINEE - starting more than one thread with that prediction - while everyone including everyone including everyone else including all Democrats on the forum scoffed at that.

Many, many times I have posted the Democratic Party is as white controlled racist as back to slavery and has become the corporate-fascist party. Therefore, Democrats supporting Bloomberg - the most racist candidate to run for president since George Wallace - was completely predictable. It will be that Bloomberg is an old, rich white racist billionaire assured him widespread support among white Democrats - particularly old white male Democrats.

80% of blacks think Trump is a racist and they should know one when they see one. You support the most racist President in modern history.

Half of the US, 80% of African-Americans say Trump is racist: POLL - Business Insider

wow, such a compelling argument. however, it isn't enough for me to surrender myself to another bigoted billionaire asshole. if you don't want to lose the SCOTUS for two generations, you had better realize that there are a lot of others like me, and you had better figure it out quickly.

The ideal job for Harris is A.G. But as the nominee looks more and more like white male, I think she brings something extra to the ticket.

I have no doubt Mayor Pete has a future in the White House.

‘A lot of people like you’ will already be under the thumb of the GOP fascists for the next two generations. You’d know this if you were paying attention.

You already lost the SCOTUS for this century beginning with your Nader votes in 2000 and continuing with your turd party votes in 2016. That’s 4 of the 5 Justices.

But wait, lazy lefties didn’t vote in 2014, giving McConnell the Senate with 9 Senate flips. Obama was blocked by REDMAP 2010 and Senate 2014. State legislatures can’t be won back this year, so this decade will once again be gerrymandered.

At my age of 66, I can tell you there’s no easy way to leave this Earth, and I sure don’t want to see it in complete GOP hands for YOUR generation and the younger ones. The SCOTUS, appeals courts, and district courts are already lost for two more generations, long after I’m dead.

i'll still vote for anti-cultists downticket. i'm not enthusiastic about voting for a bigoted billionaire reflection of King Tangface, however, and i probably won't.

The party changed the rules for Bloomberg to participate in the New Hampshire debates and he refused. I dont know that he really wants to be on the stage...at least not yet. (and certainly not after some of the recent revelations).

Bloomberg has never really been in any seriously challenged election. Getting elected in NYC as mayor - where the qualification was being a moderate, an authoritarian, a Republican and at least a mega millionaire - has no relationship to running nationwide.

Well, the first rule of governance is you have to attain the position to govern. Do you believe Bernie will succeed against Trump?

Why are so many willing to overlook the extreme racist, arrogant, horrific things Bloomberg has said and done - a Republican to only become a Democrat for this run - and are Bloomberg would be a formidable opponent. Because he's rich? The Clintons had wealth, influence and power - greatly outspending Trump plus Hilary wasn't a 78 year old white man.

To willingly surrender the very soul and existence of the Democratic Party to Bloomberg upon Bloombert's HIS assertion that he can buy the presidency from Trump is nuts. Bloomberg has never faced a serious challenge in this battle between NYC billionaires over who will be the next mayor to look after the interesting of NYC's millionaires and billions - including keeping all those blacks, Latinos, and other lower class people under control?

Bloomberg said what he said on race, blacks, Latinos, farmers, low income people, transgenders etc is because he was campaigning to those millionaires and billionaires and other upper income white people because they controlled the mayor's races far back in time when he was mayor.

He is openly running as the anti-Democratic Democrat - openly saying because he opposes what all the other REAL Democrats running for president say and propose - all too radical for him. Of course. He is not only the 12th richest person on earth, he also is an economic conservative Republican who uses "it" about transgenders.

And Democrats just ASSUME he is who can most defeat Trump by spending billions of dollars? Trump gets billions and billions of dollars of free publicity non-stop. MONEY can't beat Trump. I don't really see young people rallying to Bloomberg who openly sees all of them who isn't a super computer geek as idiots and failures - to be sternly controlled by the government and police.

This is the race in a nutshell. You are voting blue come hell or high water and I am doing same voting red. Which leaves really only one question. Who has the numbers? We wont know for sure till November.

Obama's re-election in 2012 proves the Dems have the numbers, by a decent amount.

Problem for the Dems is they, unlike Republicans, don't always come out for their parties candidate.

I'm thinking a lot of Dems are considering the old axiom,

"Don't bring a knife to a gun fight"

And, they're hoping Bloomberg is packing some serious heat!

He's wearing a suicide vest.

Bye-bye Democrat Party if he's the nominee.

Exactly my thoughts--Bloomberg is the Jewish version of Trump.

Agreed on both counts.

I think you presented your positions here pretty well, describing the con Bloomberg argument.

The Bloomberg gambit will be evaluated in the context of Trump, specifically the Dems (& much of the country's) desire to rid themselves of him. It will come down to what's worse? A Bloomberg that's perceived as less than idea? Or, a Trump that is a known horror? (and horror is indeed how much of the country perceives Trump).

We don't know how this gambit will play-out. HRC was not well accepted by much of the party in 2016, and the results were a lack of turn-out. However soon after that, I anecdotally I ran into quite a few self-identifying Dems and non-Dems who claimed they greatly regretted not voting for HRC due to now being stuck with Trump. Those that sat on the sidelines may have learned their lesson for this time around - but we don't know.

Just because you have posted "Many, many times..." doesn't make your insane rants true or accurate. Everyone in this forum will be long dead and buried before the Republican Party is
HALF as diverse as the Democratic Party. What a LOAD of excrement and you evidently have posted over 47 THOUSAND times in this forum? Just goes to show what Freedom of Speech gets us.
