Nigerian Brothers to Testify Against Jussie Smollett

Smollett was recently indicted by a special prosecutor in Chicago over his alleged hate crime hoax last year, in which the actor claimed that he was physically attacked by two men wearing MAGA hats who put a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him, and shouted racial and homophobic slurs at him, before eventually yelling, “This is MAGA country!”


After the details surrounding Smollett’s claims began to unravel, it became apparent that the actor had paid the two Nigerian brothers to stage the attack.


In a shocking move, the initial charges against Smollett were promptly dropped by Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx, who was reported to have had close ties with former First Lady Michelle Obama, whose husband — President Barack Obama — Smollett had campaigned for.


On Tuesday, following the actor being charged with lying to police by a special prosecutor, a lawyer representing the Osundairo brothers says that the two are willing to testify — for either side — in Smollett’s trial.

Jordan Peterson often talks about "(paraphrase)When does the Left go too far, we seem to be in agreement that white supremacy is the Right going too far, but we dont seem to have any such boundary for the Left".

Maybe this is it.....I saw someone in Hollywood say the Juicy will never work in that town again.

Juicy seems to have found it!

Testify for either side? In a criminal case?

Either they have evidence that a crime has been committed by the accused, or they have evidence that it was not committed by the accused.

I think someone needs to explain to both these "witnesses" AND their "lawyer" that one does not provide testimony on behalf of what appears from that statement to be "the highest bidder" in a criminal case. :no:

They were participants and want the truth out... Juicy’s lawyers certainly will not use them as witnesses.

Yeah... Juicy certainly went too far. His story was so absurd that it was unbelievable right from the start... except for some parasitic Leftist politicians.

Someone... some people poisoned his mind. His working environment certainly didn’t help.

These two brothers were alleged to have been paid to willingly act as co-conspirators in the hoax. One would assume that they are not being charged despite their obvious involvement in the crimes simply because their cooperation (including testimony?) with the prosecution was deemed critical to the successful prosecution of Smollett. The only difference (which I can see) between the actions ot the two brothers and Smollett was that the two brothers eventually confessed to police - we have a crazy justice system if confessing one's guilt to crime(s) means that one will not be charged with their crime(s).

Why not? They could state that they too had willingly participated in the hoax and initially had lied to police. The defense could (try to) argue that since three people had participated in the hoax it is not justice for the state to charge only one of them.

They can provide testimony that can both help and hurt the defendant's case. It really doesn't matter who they testify 'for'. They are material witnesses and will be called. Witnesses answer questions for both sides.

Nah...he just lied to the police, the FBI, all of his "fans" and America. He lied about a hate crime that NEVER took place. Now, he will finally pay the price for HIS hate mongering.

Brothers didn't commit a crime. Theatrical presentations on the sidewalk aren't illegal.

That was true until their "act" was used to report a fake crime to police (as if they were initially unaware of the target audience), when their "act" was all over the news they could either report the "hate crime" hoax or become co-conspirators.

The argument could be made. But, since the camera that Jessie thought would record the incident was broken, their performance never became a part of the crime. They aided and abetted with the purchase of clothesline rope, maybe. Id be wiling to forgive them in exchange for complete testimony as to the matter.

That (bolded above) appeared to be what was happening prior to Foxx deciding to drop all charges.
