Bloomberg Bombshell: Secret audio reveals presidential candidate’s racial hypocrisy

Sure.

But we're voting for Trump not Bloomberg.

How many liberals and minorities will vote for Bloomberg after this? That's the issue.

Until more comes out of the same nature, it's not an issue. If so, then the question would be more applicable.

You don't need to convince me. Convince your fellow liberals who pull out there hair over someone wearing blackface 30 years ago or someone citing FBI statistics on black crime. Of course, this was someone in power who actually used their oublic office to enact bigoted and racist policy using the police as the enforcers so some might think it's a little bigger of an issue.

Looks like more is coming out on Bloomberg.

One of the women's complaints alleged that an executive at the company said, "I'm not having any pregnant bitches working for me."

This came after several female employees sued Bloomberg LP alleging discrimination or sexual harassment in the 1990s.

One former Bloomberg employee, Mary Ann Olszewski, sued the company in 1998 alleging that she was raped by a company executive.

At the time, Bloomberg said he wouldn't believe Olszewski's rape claims unless "an unimpeachable third-party witness" could back them up.

Bloomberg allegedly told employee who had just announced pregnancy to "kill it."

Mike Bloomberg has on repeated occasions faced and fought allegations that he directed crude and sexist comments to women in his office, including a claim in the 1990s that he told an employee who had just announced she was pregnant to "kill it."

"He told me to 'kill it' in a serious monotone voice," the woman alleged in a lawsuit. "I asked 'What? What did you just say?' He looked at me and repeated in a deliberate manner 'kill it.'"

yea, i don't think mike's stop and frisk policy will motivate a lot of black voters to show up at the polls in november, should he spend his way into the nominee's spot

Personally, I don't see a lot of passionate Bernie supporters putting up with a Bloomberg as a possible nomination due to dumping hundreds of millions of his own money to get to that point.

Re: Bloomberg Bombshell: Secret audio reveals presidential candidate’s racial hypocrisy

Why isn't this a breaking news headline on CNN? Huh?

See, this is how the news and media is shaped. It's not about lies and smears necessarily, it's about selective coverage. What to focus on and what to sweep under the rug.

CNN's Cristina Alesci: Podcaster Who Released Bloomberg Stop-And-Frisk Audio Is "Clearly A Bernie Supporter," "We Don't Know How He Got It" | Video | RealClearPolitics

There you have it, a former Bloomberg reporter on air on CNN saying "we don't have the full context", but that's completely false, the entire speech audio is available...on youtube!

I wouldn’t say this is even a revelation. This has always been Michael Bloomberg. He’s gaining traction because he has ~$60 billion dollars and can use that money to change public opinion (and also the course of history). If he wins the nomination via his billions he will sink the Democratic party permanently. People haven’t even begun to air his dirty laundry.

This is bad, but his impassioned defense of Xi, refusing to call him a dictator and identify China as authoritarian, was even worse IMO.

Cumulatively this guy is utterly unelectable, and possibly compromised by our greatest rival.

So then that's something more in-line with Trump and thus there's at least something about Bloomberg the Trump supporters should like.

Maybe Trump will dump Pence for Bloomberg in the next election?

I notice how easily people scream racism.
The reality is that is where the crime lies, and he is after crime.
Should he put lots of extra cops in the Hamptons.

The people representing these races should clean up their own backyard.

Ummmm, is what he said factually incorrect or just uncomfortable?

Why do I think you would not be waiting for more if this were a right wing candidate.

The hypocrisy several posters are displaying in this thread is pretty amazing.

Bloomberg specifically noted that 95 percent of murders—both murderers and murder victims—in New York and “virtually every city” were committed by individuals fitting the same profile. “Male, minorities, 16 to 25,” he said.

Have you guys never heard of gangs?

Gangs are responsible for most of the killings. I can't believe you didn't know that.

At the time, a majority of NYC residents agreed with the policy. Bloomberg has apologized since, a little late, for stop and frisk, though citing his reason why (not a real apology in my book). White voters may say they don't like what he did, but they really don't give a hoot and it won't affect their vote one way or the other. Black voters will be pragmatic and if they believe Bloomberg can beat Trump, they'll vote Bloomberg. If Bloomberg is the Dem candidate, he could be a current, bonafide, card-carrying member of the KKK and still get the black vote, though their turnout might be lower than otherwise.

BTW, Mayor de Blasio supposedly "stopped" stop, question and frisk. However, it didn't change the fact that those being stopped were still by far disproportionately black people, which was the major complaint against the policy in the first place. And the beat goes on...

Has anyone brought up the fact that Trump advocated other cities adopt Stop and Frisk while campaigning in 2016?

Reading though this thread it's amazing that Trumpsters actually seem proud of the GOP's racism and 'whiteness'..

That’s a pretty impressive attempt at deflection. I don’t think too many will buy it though.

Bloomberg has stayed out of the debates because he doesn't want to be asked about these things. He's holding out til super Tuesday, spending a lot of money to run adds until then and hoping enough candidates get out before he actually gets in.

Bloomberg doesn't impress me as a tag-along hero-worshipper, getting on all fours for Trump to step on to his high-horse.

Because you think wrong.

See my post #44.
