Trump has judged been cleared and acquitted of all false impeachment charges against him. The verdict will stand forever.

He was acquitted by a Senate majority who voted with their party. But you go on acting like he accomplished something.

I just one a bet! Actually it was a safe bet. Most people knew that a Republican Senate wouldn't convict Trump if he murdered a child on camera in the Rose Garden.

Slight correction. Trump was neither "acquitted", nor found "not guilty".

The Senate voted to not remove him. That's all that happened.

What a nail-biter! It could have gone either way. :lamo

Reminds of the end of the OJ trial.

I heard that phone call to Ukraine trying to extort dirt on Biden. Trump will always be guilty of extortion & abusing his office. Nothing will ever change the truth.

Not according to John Roberts.

Same lawyer, same results, so yeah.

You heard it? Where? How?

LOL. Any sane person knew the outcome going into the impeachment process. There just aren't that many honest Republicans left in Washington, DC.

I don't know what you think that link was supposed to show.

When did Roberts say that Trump had been "found not guilty", or "was acquitted"?

I'm aware that this is purely a semantic argument, btw.

The reason he was acquitted will stand forever, and it has nothing to do with anyone's perception that there was no evidence. It was 100% because Republicans control the Senate. Republicans did everything possible to prevent the Democrats from doing what was guaranteed to convict Trump.

Trump did nothing to be charged with and had to do nothing to prove his innocence.

More Republicans crossed over to vote "guilty" than Democrats crossed over to vote "not guilty"; makes your "partisanship" implication:

You obviously do not know Susan Collins and about 40 other Senators. Unlike democrat judgments on so many issues decided by the DNC, republicans do not habitually blindly take orders from republican party headquarters.

Unmute the video. Roberts counts the Ayes and Nays and then pronounces, "the Senate adjudges Donald Trump ... is not guilty ..." (bold italics mine)

I won one two: I bet more Republicans would cross over to the "guilty" side than Dems would cross to the "not guilty" side.

He was impeached by a House majority with votes down party lines. So what is your point? imo, it was all a political show.

Big correction: TRUMP WAS NOT FOUND GUILTY, HE WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY.

Another round of stepping through the stages of grief, eh? Back to "denial" I see.

Democrats only needed two votes to flip in order to pull off the biggest perversion of judgment and justice in American history.

Screw the Democrats. I was talking about the party of which I was a member for 38 years before it sank under my feet. The GOP died by the hand of the NeoCons and the Republican Party died at the hands of the Party of Trump after November 2018.

How many husbands here would suck up to a man who insulted his wife? How many people here who've taken an oath would break it just to save their own ass?

The impeachment was pushed by a rich man. The RNC does the same at the command of a rich man.

Of course. And George Zimmerman will always be guilty of murdering poor little innocent Trayvon Martin in cold blood for no reason, no matter what the jury says.
