Trump Not Guilty

Actually it was defined by the US House of Representatives after consulting the writings of the Founding Fathers.

They didn't find any crimes. Thus the absence of even an accusation of a crime in the articles of impeachment

That's sort of true, there's a very small list of crimes he wouldn't have gotten away with. When half of the jury cares less about the rule of law and more about sticking it to the other half of the jury, a just outcome is a longshot.

No rule of law was violated.

The charge of abuse of presidential power for his own selfish benefit was a far more serious charge than many written crimes on the books.

Exposing corruption in government is a benefit to us all.

I agree. And Trump is at the top of that list that badly needs exposing.

Well, we had 3 years of them exposing Trump with their Russian propaganda, bought and paid for by Hillary. Most of us now realize it was all false propaganda all along. No surprise you still believe.

The quote from McConnell is a dishonest one as its intent is to deceive and mask what they actually had done.
Wrong as well as a lie.
It was relevant information to the denial.

The key phrase in the McConnell quote is "with unresolved questions of executive privilege that would require protracted litigation"

You left out a germane potion.
"to pursue additional witnesses"

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court was presiding over the trial.
Irrelevant. The Senate as a whole decides what will be done.

If - and I say IF since Trump had not invoked the privilege - Trump were to invoke executive privilege - The Chief Justice was right there to rule on it. As you know there is not such thing as executive privilege to further or hide a crime.
Wrong. There was a time and place to follow proper procedure (at the House level). The house refused to do it.

And as we all know now from Bolton himself, his testimony had it been gathered would not have changed the outcome.

So McConnells weasel words [SUP]were carefully crafted to hid the fact that in every impeachment trial of judges or of presidents that had come before them, witnesses were heard.[/SUP]
Wrong and not weasel words at all but a very specific point that matters.
The House failed to do their job at the accusation level.

[SUP]All of that history and all of those precedents were flushed down the toilet by the Senate Republicans. And perhaps the worst aspect was the McConnell statement you are using which then dishonestly tries to deceive the American people about it.[/SUP]
Wrong as usual.

:laughat:
[SUP]Apparently he certainly did deceive you because you keep using a statement that is the equivalent of the magician telling you to look at his upraised hand while his other hand is the one pulling the trick.

Sorry but it is not working.
[/SUP]
:2rofll:
Hilariously stupid commentary as well as wrong as usual.

The entirety of your post was nothing more you simply being wrong as you usually are.
Get over it.
