Nancy said it was the 'respectful' thing to do and I can only imagine what the disrespectful alternative would be? Would it be setting it on fire, or shouting "LIAR!" or maybe stuffing it up his rear-end with all the other Trump ****?

Nancy will become quite irrelevant in a couple years, and her legacy will be that she failed miserably to execute a proper impeachment.

History will remember Nancy Pelosi as one of the greatest patriots that ever served in Congress. History will remember that it was Nancy Pelosi that was responsible for tobacco legislation, raising the minimum ware, the Hate Crimes Prevention Act, credit card reforms, the repeal of 'don't ask don't tell', Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform, and the Affordable Care Act. Those are the accomplishments she'll go down in history for. In addition, she'll go down in history as one of the most powerful and courageous women in US politics, one that stood up to an unfit, treasonous, power-hungry man that's unfit for the office of the presidency.

Hey, conduct works both ways. When Pelosi tried to shake Trump's hand he snubbed her and wouldn't extend his hand. I'd say both of them were childish and bitter last night.

What a mean, petty thing to do. Trump should have shook her hand, but otherwise he took the high road and did not even mention the impeachment last night.

v That elderly woman needs to get the he** out of politics. She's divisive and she claims Trump is. What a hypocrite.
 
It's totally up to the Speaker of the House to extent the invitation to the president to come to give a State of the Union address. That's was totally Nancy Pelosi's prerogative and her decision alone. She extended that invitation to him and not only did he spend 80 minutes creating a campaign rally for himself, resplendent with thumbs up and chants by the republican congressmen, he refuse to shake her hand at the onset. Nancy Pelosi could have NOT given him that opportunity, but she did and she sat through 80 minutes of lies. He could have held his SOTU address at one of his rallies instead, or in some big ballroom at the Trump International Hotel.

Doesn't sound like you have ever watched a SOU before, nothing out of line from the norm. TDS just totally controls the democrats thinking or lack of thinking.

If I were in that situation, I wouldn't have shaken her hand, but I also wouldn't have done a speech either. I would have delivered the State of the Union as a published report.

She refuses to compromise and along with Schumer have upheld lots of opportunities to get things passed. Their constant NONSTARTER claims are harming the country. They don't understand the President set policy and leads the direction of the country's initiatives.

Presidents should do that, but don't expect any sitting president to break the pattern of turning the SOTU into a big TV show with himself as the star. Congress should simply disinvite the president to speak and request a written report instead.

This could be a momentous week for the republic if the Iowa caucus is no longer of major importance and the SOTU dissolves into high school silliness. God riddance to both.
 
I'll give Nancy some credit for decorum. I would've pissed on it.
