This - this is what bugs me the most(period) There were so many complaints against Obama because his trips cost so much and I ascribed it to the fact that the president has no choice whatsoever that the treasury department must protect him, which is like 90% of the cost

4 years later, it's no big deal that he spends centuries' worth of pay golfing

Not that we can trust them to do so, especially when the guidelines state that the WH decides what is business and what isn't and a single phone call can make it a business trip - lucky for Trump, we will never see those rulings any more than his taxes

I wouldn't know, personally about the second part, but I know I watched a bunch of the righties on here spend months whining about Obama's golf and travel bills and when Trump was one of the loudest and blows those numbers out of the water in no time, it's worthy of comment

Gotta be embarrassing to get defensive about it, eh? Especially when all it is is a bit of good humor on a moron breaking his own code

If you notice, I haven't defended anything. I've simply provided information that explains how travel is accounted for, who has to pay for what, etc..

Why do you think outfits like the one linked in the OP lie about it?

You haven't proved they were lying about it, only made the assertion that presidents sometimes pay a piece; which is just inadequate there

Every few months I have to pull out the Secret Service records to debunk these fake news stories. It's Ok since I have them bookmarked. On average the Trump and Obama administrations have spent about 10-15 million per year on Vacays. Obama's was at about $105,662,975.27 after his 8 years and by Jan 2018 Trump was at $13,533,937.28. So he's about on course for what Obama is at. Now do you think in 1 year Trump spent 100 million on travel? Remember the media is against this President and will report any false story they get their hands on. Or should you go with records that JW had to sue the government to get first hand records from the Secret Service.
