    25,000 complaints of feces

6,888 complaints of feces per square mile in the Tenderloin

Glen Park saw the largest increase of feces at 205%

Some of Our Key Findings this Year Include:

In 2018, SF311 received 28,315 animal/human waste complaints, 35% more than the previous year. As of November 6th, SF311 has received over 25,000 animal or human waste complaints this year, around 7% more than the same period in 2018.

The dirtiest neighborhoods, with the most amount of poop complaints, are currently located in the city center areas of San Francisco. Tenderloin has been on a winning streak for the “poopiest neighborhood” contest for the past three years. The neighborhood saw 8,644.2 animal/human waste incidents per sq mi in 2017, 7,722.8 in 2018, and 6,887.9 so far in 2019. [2019 Poop Map]

Glen Park saw the largest increase in terms of number of animal/human waste complaints from 2017 to 2018. In 2017, the neighborhood received 20 complaints, or 29.9/Sq Mi. This number jumped 205% to 61, or 91.2/Sq Mi in 2018.

The number of poop complaints has steadily risen in the past few years, around 80% increase since 2011.[Figure 1]
October 2018 was the worst month since the city started logging poop complaints. San Francisco received 3,854 animal/human waste complaints that month.[Figure 2]

If that's what you think the left does, I would say you're not a swing voter

So someone who might vote for a republican or a democrat this next election would automatically approve what the extremist government in SF does?

Whenever I visit San Fransisco, it seems nothing like what DP right-winger's report. I wonder why that is.

Very nice city, including parts that were more dumpy even just 10 years ago.

It's going to get worse. They just elected Chesa Boudin as the new DA. Chesa is the son of Weathermen criminals who murdered two people during a Brinks truck robbery. His dad is still in prison for pretty much life. He has never prosecuted a case and in fact is a progressive lawyer who champions defendants' rights.

He has vowed to end the "lock 'em up" policy the city takes to crime. Of course the city already defacto decriminalized petty theft a few years ago so I can only imagine what he thinks should be done next. He opposes and will instruct his office to never ask for "cash" bail because it unfairly punishes the poor. Of course people have a right to bail so I guess that means more ankle bracelets and ROR bail.

I don't know if this will affect the homeless bum explosion in SF. It was already not doing anything about that, so it's hard to do less than zero.

Same here. I'm in SF often. I never have to dodge piles of ****. There are sketchier and poorer and dirtier parts, but I just don't think of it as any worse than any other major American city.

Why don't the right run a candidate then?

You said, this is what happens when the left takes over. I don’t think is an issue of left wing politics. I think CA is having a growing homeless and displaced population, because average people can’t afford a home or apartment. Then there are other issues with urban planning, and issues all cities have. I work in property management and development. Pet poop is a huge issue, but we are creating public waste stations in communities. Everybody has a dog now. I wouldn’t say it’s definitely an issue of political party.

    That’s not surprising.

My company builds luxury apartments and business real estate. Dog poop is a concern, because everybody owns a dog and young people want dogs instead of kids.

Last time I was in Paris they had a huge dog poo problem, too. It was everywhere, especially on the sidewalks. A lot of people wear expensive shoes there, too. lol But one thing they did have that maybe San Francisco could think about is they had these cute little tube like structures on almost every street that men could go in to urinate so they wouldn't do it on the buildings, sidewalks or out in the open. There was a sad, funny little Italian film about that called "Bread and chocolate" about a poor Italian immigrant who kept getting busted for urinating out in public because there was no where else for him to go.
