Mina Chang was accused of creating a fake Time magazine cover with her face on it, which she denies.

Mina Chang, a high-ranking State Department staffer who vaulted into the public spotlight after NBC reported she had inflated her resume, has resigned from her position.

Chang, the deputy assistant secretary in the State Department’s Bureau of Conflict and Stability Operations, was accused of overstating her academic credentials and creating a fake Time magazine cover with her face on it. Chang has rebutted NBC’s story, arguing that her academic statements were not misleading and that she did not commission the doctored Time cover.

Trump can't afford to be too particular about hiring. Few actually qualified people want to work for Trump. So, if someone fudges a little in order to get hired by him, then that person has met the main two criteria for being in his administration: (1) wanting to be and (2) showing a knack for putting on a good show.

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that a framed Time cover featuring Trump and the headline “Donald Trump: The ‘Apprentice’ is a television smash!” [sic], seen hanging at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, was faked. At the top of the page, in capitals, was the proclamation: “TRUMP IS HITTING ON ALL FRONTS … EVEN TV!”

Pretty much, everybody that has ever worked for Trump hates his guts. Word has gotten around that working for him is just signing up for abuse, and so now he can't get people with experience for many positions within the executive.

Schiff better rush her before the committee to tell her opinion on Trump - since that is all that is being presented - Obama people stating how much the disagree with Trump's policies - such as his not given Russia what of Ukraine Obama and Clinton hadn't already given to Putin as part of Obama's post-election "flexibility."

An amusement park I went to one time sold those fake cover photos. People had an assortment of magazines to choose from. I remember Fortune was one of them as well.

If you look at the article, the whole thing is pretty silly. She attended a 7 week class at Harvard and included it on her resume - according to her (and the state department) she didn't lie about it. The other issue was a photoshopped magazine cover that someone put online.

It sounds like she just wants to get out of the 'toxic environment' of DC politics. Hard to blame her.

Chang said that when lawmakers raised questions, the State Department again reviewed her application materials and “found that she in no way misled officials during the investigation.”

She didn't include it in her resume. Someone photoshopped it and put it online. It was used in an interview she did for a community college public access program.

After that, the rebuttal says, “an enthusiastic fan online went one step further and used an app to make a fake magazine cover with Ms. Chang’s actual image superimposed on the cover which was subsequently circulated online.”

The document also says that Chang didn’t give any permission or had any knowledge that the fake cover would be used during a public access TV interview for Houston Community College.

We have to run through a ton of resumes and some of the stuff we see...you just have to wonder...do they think people dont check on this stuff...ESPECIALLY the high profile things?

The bolded doesn’t make one a Harvard “alumna.”

Four day seminar @ the War College don’t count for much......

While she claimed to boast a degree from Harvard Business School, the university told NBC she had only attended a seven-week program at Harvard in 2016. And the Army War College program she claimed to have graduated from was just a four-day national security seminar, the college told NBC; in addition, she claimed to have attended a leadership course at Southern Methodist University, but the college told Business Insider they had no records she attended or paid course fees.
 
Isn't it weird how some people will resign for doing stuff that has no honor and other benefits from much worse.

It's like a CEO paying off a sex worker while an employee quits for falsifying a resume.
 
She dressed up her resume? Like nobody in the bureacracy ever did that...lol.

She probably refused to play ball with the deep state and they burned her.

She should be one of the first witnesses called when this **** show hits the Senate.

"Dressed up her resume"? She made multiple significant false claims. A "graduate of Harvard Business"? Etc., etc.

And here you are, defending her unethical behavior, making false claims yourself with no supporting evidence. Something tells me someone ought to look into your resume. Probably a few 'dressed up' claims there as well.
