He is currently in France on invitation by French President Emmanuel Macron to attend the Paris Peace Forum which is taking place from November 11th to 13th. I am guessing that if the people who oppose President Biya ever gain power, they will be just as bad.

The people of Zimbabwe, for example, cheered when their dictator was "requested" by the military to resign. They are not cheering now.
 
Any man in Cameroon is better than Paul Biya. He has reduced the country to a hell on earth. We just need change at this point. it is really hard here
