They Are Racist, Some Have Guns, Inside the White Supremacist Group Hiding in Plain Sight

Just read this article, interesting and seems to be true, there are a lot of racist "Christians" who hate minorities, but still want to appear as they are like Jesus. I'm sure many Christians reject White Supremacy and are good people who treat their neighbors, regardless of skin color, as equals and with respect and love, but a large number don't it seems.

Racist theology is deeply embedded in the DNA of white Christian churches, influencing even their theology on salvation, PRRI founder Robert Jones argues in a new book.

It wouldn’t be hard for many white Christians to find examples of white supremacy’s claims on their own family’s trees, Jones said. But white Christians’ image of themselves and their religion has been warped by what Jones calls “white-supremacy-induced amnesia.”

Jones wrestles with that amnesia in his new book, “White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity.” He argues that white Christians ― from evangelicals in the South to mainline Protestants in the Midwest to Catholics in the Northeast ― weren’t just complacent onlookers while political leaders debated what to do about slavery, segregation and discrimination.

White supremacist theology played a key role in shaping the American church from the very beginning, influencing not just the way denominations formed but also white Christians’ theology about salvation itself.

HuffPost spoke with Jones about his book earlier in July. Just as his own family history would be incomplete without acknowledging the influences of white supremacy, Jones said it’s impossible to talk about American Christianity without recognizing that racism helped shape the church.

What is biblical, what is political, often tends to be driven by self-interest. In the case of white Christian churches, I think it’s always appropriate to ask, “What kind of interest is that? Is it an interest that is privileging the position of white Americans over Americans of color?” And if it is, then it’s a straightforwardly white supremacist interest that’s being reflected in those distinctions.

When you take Christianity and you bastardize it so that you can use it as a sword to fight your enemies, and then talkers come along like Limbaugh and Hannity and use what people learned in church (leaving out the loving and inclusiveness) to scare the hell out of them so that though fall in line, you're going to end up with groups like this. They're the product of their families and the hate that's been preached and all that stuff.

It's amazing that more people can't just be normal. I guess they have to be assholes and freaks to feel more important than others.

They seem to be angry white incels who cannot deal with others as equals so they have fallen back on ethno-terrorism.
Sounds about right. And there sounds like there are a whole 300 of them, hiding behind their computer screens. According to their article a nationwide fundraising initiative raised them a whole 2,000 dollars. I imagine couch cushions across the country were tossed aside looking for this windfall. When people look at the world and the **** that is going on across the country is THIS what causes them to crawl into a corner and piss themselves?

They are miserable human beings with absolutely nothing to feel good about themselves. They have a million things they know about themselves that are horrible. Things they believe and things they've done. They are utterly hopeless losers. So they vest self worth in meaningless group identity. It's all they have to feel like they matter as a person.

That's why racism exists.

Not really... racism exists out of fear. That is pretty much about it.

except for the fascist christian lowlife factor i'd say its total mongering.

Don't forget the Boys be getting their Boogaloo on and all.
