Texas Gov Announces Investigation Into Case Of Mother Transitioning 7-Year-Old James Younger Against

Changes from the male gender to the female gender. And they are transgendered when they identify as the sex opposite of the one their genitals reveal.

A person is transgendered only when they seek to change their body and have a gender identity that is different from their birth gender. Non-binary and people who are gender fluid are only 50% transgendered and seldom seek medical care to transition or take hormones.

You really don't even have a clue. Many of them never change there body and nothing within the definition of transgender requires that they seek any such thing. And by your definition Bruce Jenner wasn't transgendered the first 65 years of his life until he sought to change his body. Blows a hole in your "born that way" theory.

The transgendered people who don't transition usually fall into one of three categories. They have a medical condition or their age that would prohibit the process. They are in a relationship/religious beliefs that are not supportive of them transitioning and feel that they cannot, or they lack the funds or don't have insurance coverage that would pay for the necessary care.

Caitlyn was always transgendered but was in the closet just as many people of her age.

You are contradicting yourself when you said "A person is transgendered only when they seek to change their body". That happens a lot when you make the **** up as you go along. You lose track of what you have previously made up.

They knew all along that they wanted to change their body. That is one of the core ideas of being transgendered. People are born in the wrong body for their gender and they want to change the gender of their body.

Did you not understand that seek and want are synonyms?

After checking 3 different online thesaurus I can say they are not.

You can replace seek with want and the sentence still makes sense.

She seeks to do X' has the same meaning as she wants to do X. They are synonyms.

Doesn't mean the same. Soooooo Bruce Jenner from when he was born until he was 70 "wanted" sex change but didn't get around to it?

Yes, that is true. Caitlyn was always transgendered but she was also in the closet, just as many LGB people are, especially older people. Being openly LGBT is far more acceptable now than it was in the past, even just 30 years ago.

If a person is transgendered they have always felt transgendered, even if they didn't know what that word meant but they always felt that they were born ion the wrong body and wanted to change their body to the gender that aligned with the psychological gender identity, or their gendered sense of self.

If a person is transgendered they have always felt transgendered,

Nonsense. Over 70% of kids identified as transgendered simply lose those feelings.

Those people were never transgendered. There is a difference between childhood questions and actually being transgendered.

Of course they were. Judged to be so by the so called profession of psychology. This seven year old looks like hes on his way to be one of those 70%. Its in the mind. Sometimes it simply goes away.

If the feelings go away then they were never actually transgendered. It was just a phase of growth and experimentation.

If the feelings go away then they were never actually transgendered. .

You should tell that to the so called Drs who diagnosed this kid to be gender dysphoric. If they are wrong in over 70% of their diagnosis, they should stop making such diagnosis.

Should I explain to you the definition of persistent?

Gender identity disorder is a strong and persistent feeling that a person has the wrong gender identification, which causes discomfort with their sex or a sense of inappropriateness in the gender role of that sex.

You should tell that to the so called Drs who diagnosed this kid to be gender dysphoric. And you are using the pre 2013 definition.

The initial diagnosis is not very important because there is no medical treatment until the child is 12+. There is constant psychological counseling so if they suspect that the child/teen might have a change it is stopped or slowed.

Somehow you have this false idea that there is medical-surgical pharmacological treatment for children, despite reality.

??? As this case demonstrates the initial diagnosis, especially when done on 7 year olds is very important. In most such cases they wont have an unconvinced parent to protect the kid.

How many parents are knowledgable in psychology?

If they have a question about the diagnosis they are supposed to ask the Dr or to get a second opinion, hopefully, from someone who doesn't believe that praying is how to answer a question about science or medicine.

It is obvious to most people that you are driven entirely by your emotions and beliefs usually grounded in ignornace, and you reject facts when it suits you, which is most of the time. The Dunning Kruger effect describes your intellectual abilities.

Where did you get the 70% from?

Good grief. Why do people leap to conclusions, without even trying to get the facts, in so many threads about the same thing no less?

There are no medical interventions whatsoever for this child at this time. There is no "transition" happening whatsoever. They won't even consider that until the start of puberty.

No one is forcing this child to do anything. The child started showing signs of gender dysphoria, so the mother went to therapists. At the trial, multiple therapists indicated that the best approach was to take the child's own preferences seriously. A Texas jury even sided with the mother, recommending full custody.

Abbott is just grandstanding for the gradually dwindling Red Hats.

Strange that The Daily Caller didn't mention the stuff in your post above.

My concern in this case is the impressionable mind of a child age 7 and certainly in younger years where the mother clearly has tried to influence the emotional feelings on an impressionable child. IIn fact this is the case for many transgender youth. It is a fact that children and young adults part of the brain that aids in decision making in not fully formed until the mid to later 20's. So these diagnosis are based on interviews, not physical anatomy, of young and impressionable chidren.
Doctors who misdiagnose 70% of the time should not practice.
