A British family on vacation accidentally drove into the U.S. They’ve spent days detained with their

Yeah, but I'll bet you're good at Jeopardy and fun at parties;)

I am actually really good at Jeopardy for some reason... and the parties I went to nobody was talking trivia ;)

That is one thing that I wondered... If they crossed in Washington State, why fly them to freaking Ohio, or wherever it was. The money spent on it alone, makes no sense.

The flight and the cost to detain them over a week... would have more than covered to send 7 people back to the U.K.

US tried to return Connors family after illegal entry but Canada refused - Insider

I mean it's not entirely impossible late at night an animal crossed that road and caused the car to swerve and maybe mixed up their directions or whatever, I know a lot of people who are geographically challenged, and whatever. Or maybe they did intentionally cross over for whatever reason, still think the person who caught them could have just turned them around and kept an eye.

I have absolutely no idea.

However Canada is under absolutely no legal obligation to allow anyone other than Canadians to enter Canada and those folks were not Canadians (not even if those folks are **A*M*E*R*T*C*A*N*S** [if you can believe it]).

I suggest that you direct your inquiry to The Honourable Ahmed D. Hussen MP (365 Laurier Avenue West - Ottawa, Ontario - K1A 1L1 / Telephone: 1-613-954-1064 / Fax: 1-613-952-5533).

You guys are so cute... thinking that we can't simply do whatever we want with regards to you guys.

Lots of people driving through lakes around where you live?

Only if their GPS tells them to!

Waze App Directs Driver to Drive Car Into Lake Champlain

The unnamed driver certainly isn’t the first person to blindly follow technology to a watery end. In June 2017, there was a guy who drove into a lake in Massachusetts and blamed his GPS. He’s joined by a woman in Ontario who similarly navigated into a pond and … blamed her GPS.

Who among us hasn't swerved into a ditch (that happens to be a border ditch) to avoid an animal? After having been denied an immigration permit to the country on the other side of the ditch? While carrying our life savings in cash?

Happened to me twice last week.

It hasn't happened to me in about a month... so I am due to do it pretty soon.

Encountered a toad in the road on my way to work last week and had to drive to Canada to avoid it. That's two days I'll never get back.

Especially their "bacon".

Why don't they just call it ham?

EDIT: I just looked it up and Canadian Bacon is from the loin and American bacon is from the belly...

The same goes for The United States.

Um, on a joy ride to nowhere? Detoured by a Yeti?
I can't believe anyone is gullible to fall for this woman's story!

Right. A joyride to nowhere. And they mentioned a yeti?

But lets keep up this charade of stupidity and say they are part of the british sleeper sent by the queen to take back America. The 3 month old was the leader.

Take a look around you. It's the 21st century, not 1954. The USA has volunteered to amuse the world with an impromptu clown show.

Unless you're an elected or appointed federal official. In that case, you're eligible for a national commendation, at least an Attaboy in your personnel file.

Hillary can lie OK, but Martha goes to prison for it.

Hillary was a pathetic piker with her lying when it comes to the fabrication skills of Obese Donald.

But of course Donny Dip Stick is protected by Article II of the Constitution, he can't commit a felony for lying to Federal Agents, he is above the law.

Just ask him?

The Connor's had $16 thousand cash on them when detained. Sounds like they might have been acting as UK Coyotes!

Next time don't try to avoid hitting the invisible moose, just drive over it!

:lamo

Somebody has to lighten up the mood... everybody is so serious all of the time now.

Yeah, because they were the first people in the history of the world to take a wrong turn while on vacation.

My goofy husband once ended up in the Texas panhandle (west of Oklahoma) when trying to travel the sixty miles straight north (well, mostly straight north) from the shopping in Oklahoma City to our home in Stillwater. He didn't even have the excuse of being on vacation.

Ham comes from a different part of the pig than Canadian bacon

Interesting

CBP say they watched the family vehicle "slowly and deliberately driving through a ditch" into the US, on live security tape.

"During processing, record checks revealed two of the adults were previously denied travel authorization to come to the United States," CBP told The Associated Press. A CBP official, who spoke with the Washington Post on condition of anonymity, said the family had $16,000 in cash on them when they were arrested.

i once spent an entire night (pre-GPS) trying to go due west on country roads because they had shut down the highway. we were hopelessly lost, but we figured that if we kept going straight, we would eventually hit the perpendicular highway and be able to find our way home using it. as dawn was about to break, we finally decided to check out newspaper mailboxes to see where we were at. we realized that we had somehow circled back to the town we started in, lol. by then, the highway was reopened, so we went home that way.

my sense of direction is very poor, lol. however, there were two other people in the car, and they don't have that problem. i still think that we went through a wormhole or something.

Is this your prime minister?
