This article is nothing more than those employers whining because ICE is finally doing their jobs and enforcing the law. I have no sympathy for them.

They have two solutions:

1. If they insist on hiring non-US citizens, then they need to lobby Congress to reform the laws to make it more efficient for them to get work permits for non-US citizens.

2. Hire US citizens.

Bingo. Work on an oil rig pays some of the highest wages that a blue collar worker can earn. It's one of the last jobs of its kind that pays enough to enable a hard working American without a degree to support a family. Little wonder then why an oil rig owner would want to hire immigrants- they're tough enough to do the work, and will work for less pay than Americans.

American companies should definite pay a lot more for those grunt jobs.

The CEOs will probably stop voting for Donald Trump or donating money to his campaign but it still needs to happen.

Oil riggers make, on average, 99k a year. Oil field jobs are not jobs US citizens don't want to do, they are jobs companies want to pay less to have done. The OP link is concern troll bull****.

As a Christian I must do what is right, not what secularists dictate what is right. As a Christian I must reconcile the secular laws against illegals working to provide for their families with the fact that American secularists are encouraging these illegals to flood into our country by the train car loads. If Congress refuses to change the laws to allow these poor people to work for food then I will just have to break the law to show compassion on those who are encouraged by democrats to come here by breaking the law.

I want laws changed and so do most Americans as well as illegal immigrants. The problem democrats do not see or will not admit is that there is a contradiction to their open borders policies. US law says immigrants cannot enter the US illegally and US law says illegal immigrants cannot work for a living in the US and yet democrats encourage them to come here by the tens of thousands into such a mess. I will do what I can to show compassion on illegal immigrants because I think it is a crime against humanity to lure unsuspecting people into a land where they are forced to starve to death. American laws cannot be upheld while allowing democrats to encourage such lawlessness.

Let's say 99% of those coming to America without going through well established legal immigration process are fleeing for their lives and seeking asylum as a final straw, the why are democrats not helping change laws to allow for them to work to provide for themselves instead of leaving the government no choice but to put them on welfare, causing serious strains on state budgets?

Have you ever been in a desperate situation and had to flee to another country? Lots do work to provide for themselves which is why they take jobs we refuse to do, however the fact that someone is on welfare is not an indication of their laziness considering the many companies that refuse to pay their workers a livable wage which forces them to rely on welfare for the rest. You dont listen to democratic voters because fox news and the CEC has taught you that only right wingers are worthy of calling themselves American.

How do you think the needs of illegal immigrants should be met, by them working for themselves or by government welfare?
If they should work for themselves then Congress is letting them down by not changing the law to make that legal.

They often do work for themselves and yeah congress is responsible for a lot of things but just saying “get a jarb you freeloader!” doesnt solve the problem. Ive seen many solutions that i think conservatives should be able to get on board with but triggering the libs seems to be more important :/
 
Everyone has compassion for the needy but that has to be cushioned by common sense. People have compassion for rescue animals too, but intelligent people do not take unrealistic numbers of them into their homes.

Illegal immigrants are their own worst enemies. They have created a poverty class in this country. They have flooded the unskilled and semi-skilled markets in this country to the point that supply far exceeds demands. For example, groups like roofers and meat packing industry people are making less now than they did years ago because of this. They have driven wages down to a point where many in these job brackets can not even afford a home. Another damage caused by this is they have taken most of the jobs that used to be worked by teens and college students. These young people are now unable to make a few bucks and gain working experience.

In addition, this is creating a huge divide between the wages of those at the bottom and the others. The wages for skilled workers is higher than it has ever been and increasing rapidly. The median wage in this country has been rising by between 3% and 4% a year for most of the last decade while wages in the unskilled or semi-skilled has been stagnant or dropped. Because the wages of those outside these areas are climbing along with a larger number of people seeking homes the cost of real estate is rising too. This forces most of the people in these low brackets into ghettos or make them homeless. This results in many of their children being involved in gang activity and crime.
 
Sounds like the ****ing idiot that wrote the article is literally advocating for illegal immigration, rather than hiring Americans or hiring immigrants legally. What a ****ing ****.

I support raising the minimum wage, but using market forces to raise wages (e.g. by limiting the amount of cheap foreign labor available) is more effective at increasing real earnings than regulatory dictates.
