No, according to the Supreme Court a private group can spend as much as they want. This decision was hailed by conservatives at the time. I know you're disappointed that it applies to anyone but Trump, but so it is.

Abused his power by using the office of the presidency to attempt to have a foreign power investigate a dead scandal so Trump could run ads accusing Biden of corruption.

YOU KNOW he would use the info he obtained in ads - true or false - there is no denying it.

Are you referring to Neo Conservatives? If so, they weren't Dixiecrats...they were a faction of the democrat party know as 'war hawks' and switched parties to help Reagan get elected because they thought Jimmy Carter was weak on Russia.

No, i'm referring to the likes of Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms in the Senate and people like Trent Lott who, though he always ran as a Republican, was an active member of the Council of Concerned Citizens (formerly the White Citizens Council) of the South. In fact, Lott's membership in that racist front group led to his early "retirement" from politics. The Republican party of today is a makeover of the Dixiecrats of the past.
