[h=1]Trump involved Pence in efforts to pressure Ukraine’s leader, officials say[/h]
WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump repeatedly involved Vice President Mike Pence in efforts to exert pressure on the leader of Ukraine at a time when the president was using other channels to solicit information that he hoped would be damaging to a Democratic rival, current and former U.S. officials said.
Trump instructed Pence not to attend the inauguration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in May -- an event White House officials had pushed to put on the vice president’s calendar -- at a time when Ukraine’s new leader was seeking recognition and support from Washington, the officials said.
Months later, the president used Pence to tell Zelensky that U.S. aid was still being withheld while demanding more aggressive action on corruption, officials said. At that time -- following Trump’s July 25 phone call with Zelenksy -- the Ukrainians probably understood action on corruption to include the investigation of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

May I present President Pelosi?

Talk about sweet, salty conservative tears. They’ll cry harder than when the Dukes of Hazzard got cancelled.

Well, I doubt that will happen.

As much as an impeachment would be great, there's only one thing better.

1. Trump goes all out and becomes the first president to run for reelection, who has been impeached by the House.
2. Trump loses the WH in a straight-up election and becomes an official LOSER in US history.

God, the idea of news media printing headlines of "American to Trump: You're fired!" after November 2020 gets me ...

Well, you're a lady, I can't say.

He has managed to be out of town when the crap goes down. My money is on he will not be tagged in this. He is like Teflon, but his intentions were clear on Trumps future, he opened his own PAC as VP

If Trump is slimy, Pence is as well, just not as dumb politically as Trump.
He will benefit immensely from his time as VP

Why Mike Pence started a PAC - Business Insider

Such a blatant play at the office of the presidency. Ya'll tip your hands way too far, even though it's not really needed. You've all been trying to undo 2016 since it happened and now you're trying to put in Nancy Pelosi as President not by election, but by political chicanery.

God, I hate that ****ing show.

I'm sorry.

Not gonna lie (again), I've yet to see a single episode in my life. I just saw an opportunity to ****post.
Here's a suggestion: don't.

That show is dumber than a third coat of paint.

I can't believe people were entertained by that.

Have you met me? I have a pretty salty vocabulary.

Presidential Succession:

Article 2, Section 1, Clause 6, Constitution of the United States:

In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the Same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected.

In the case that the president can no longer serve, the vice president would serve as president.

If the vice president cannot serve, the line of succession falls to the speaker of the House, then to the Senate president pro tempore, then to Cabinet members.

Trump used Pence to tell Zelensky that US aid was still being withheld while demanding action on corruption. At that time, following Trump’s call with Zelenksy, Ukraine understood action on corruption was to include investigating Biden. One of Pence’s top advisers was on the July 25 call and Pence should have had access to the transcript within hours. He knew exactly what Trump proposed to Zelensky.

It was cool when you were a kid.

Now, I think I’d rather watch Fox News than an episode of Dukes. Never realized how much the Duke brothers were such douches.

I'd say that's some pretty unanimous advice. I'll be sure to put this show at the top of my "reasons not to bother with TV again" list.

I'll just say this.

My kinda-sorta friend, kinda-sorta FWB, said that when Trump leaves office, she's blowing the nearest thing with a dick to celebrate. :lamo

No, dear god, NO!

It wasn't cool then and isn't cool now.

Buncha god damn redneck inbreds. They'll be the downfall of this country.

Smart kid.

Yep

We've know about his shadiness since the 1980s. That's 30 years ago. People couldn't figure him out with 30 years of corruption to go on.

LOL

I was thinking a 55-gallon drum of Sangria, with fresh fruit inside. But hey, whatever floats your boat!

I love the defense of Pence having been aware of what he was pressuring Ukraine for...well, he didn't know it was for dirt on Biden!
Well, his top aide was in that call.
Well, he did get a transcript of that call.
Well, he got it a second time before meeting with the president of Ukraine.
Well, he probably read it, but really didn't absorb it.

Investigation is just getting warmed up, and there are no artificial limits like on Mueller, it will be made public, it will be fast, they have the ability to impeach, subpoena, and apparently there is no shortage of a paper trail and witness coming forward to show us exactly what happened. No Fishking, they may not get him impeached, but it's way too early go call the game when we're just at the kick-off (I hate sports analogies).
