There’s a growing sense among members of the Senate Democratic Conference that life would be easier if Joe Biden wins the party’s presidential nomination instead of his two closest competitors, Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Bernie Sanders(I-Vt.).

ROTFLOL... I don’t care who gets nominated... Comatose Joe or one of the Commi’s... Pocahontas or Bernie. They’re all tremendously weak.

But what does that tell you what they think of Pocahontas? LOL...

I wonder how the Russian troll farm will act once Native Americans give their full support to Warren. "Pocahontas" is literally all they've got, and nobody outside of Trump rallies cares.

They are a bunch of cowards for refusing to put their names to their thoughts.

The Righties sure do fear Biden. Wonder why?

They think Biden is the safer choice. Kinda like Jeb Bush. Trump taught us that the safe choice isn't always the winning choice.

Really? Cause last I checked they are all projected to beat Trump in a head to head match up.

Biden is safer because he doesn't open up a senate vacancy if he wins beyond the ideological divide with other democratic senators Warren and Sanders have. Anyway, I think the democratic party should display division instead of being a cult where everybody has to say, think, and support the same thing. People will have greater faith in them if they actually allowed and fostered open dissent.

Take a hint, referring to Elizabeth Warren as 'Pocahontas' is soooooo 2015 and passe'. Nobody cares, it meant nothing then, and means even less now. She's a powerhouse that will soundly defeat Trump in 2020.

So was Hillary.

She did beat Trump in a head to head match, by nearly 3 million popular votes. More Americans voted for Hillary Clinton than any other losing presidential candidate in US history. The electoral college elected another republican but that's the only way republicans can win.

These are Democrats. There's plenty of dissent. Unlike house members, Senators can run for president and senate simultaneously. Also, I don't think either Warren or Bernie are likely to be replaced by a Republican, so the danger there is minimal.

After years of running the "safe" candidate, Republicans actually went with what the base wanted and voila! President Trump! Right now, the energy on the Democratic side is with Warren. I'm waiting to see what happens.

My point stands. She lost.

Democrats need to move a bunch of those extra Democratic voters out into Red America. I hear Florida is a great place for ex-New Yorkers and Californians. Texas too!

So was Hillary.

Hillary Clinton won the popular vote and without Russian interference and the stupid mistakes of James Comey it likely would have been a land slide.

In 2016 Trump caught liberals sleeping. Nobody thought he had a snowballs chance in hell of actually winning. Millions stayed home or voted third party in protest. That will not happen twice.

A republican governor would be replacing Warren if she won.

Point still stands.

That would be a consideration for the party, not the voters. I'm hoping for another blue wave.

The OP is about Senate democrats, not the voters.

Let's face it, Biden is the only democratic candidate that should even be running. The rest of the field is SO extreme that they are not electable.
I think that the older established democratic members of congress must be ashamed of how extreme the party has become. All of the candidates favor
reparations? All favor some form of socialized medicine? All favor open boarders? Wow, what the hell happened to moderate democrats?

Biden is the safer choice, which is why the DNC will push him through.

Establishment hacks want establishment hack to get elected. News at 11.

He's not, and the fact that the DNC doesn't understand this yet is why they'll probably manage to lose again.

Trump also taught us that a Non-conservative can win(Hint)

Neither Vermont or Massachusetts is going to elect a Republican to the senate. Here's the latest polls, RCP averages.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2020 - 2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination

The Northeastern progressive duo of Sanders/Warren actually has more support together than Biden, 35% to 29%. Right now they're dividing the progressive vote. Biden leads, but is more of a moderate, center left ideological and has a history of working across the aisle to get things done. This, I don't think the Democrats will go for. Outside of Biden and Klobuchar, maybe Gabbard, all those running are basically far left progressive.

As the progressives drop out their support will go to Warren and or Sanders. Biden only hope is Warren and Sanders continue to divide the Northeastern progressive vote. Biden's strength is among the older folks and blacks. Not the white liberal/progressive crowd.
