I think he means they don't support Israel because it's crucial in the end of times evangelical wetdream. People can disagree with their government for more pragmatic reasons. An evangelical is likely to support Israel through the worst abuses.

Of course he uses 'Divide and Conquer' to achieve his agendas, but you'll rarely, if ever, see his minions actually admit this fact. Just look at this forum, and many of the totally insane things Trump says and does that either go unaddressed, or are defended on a daily basis. Although I really don't think this forum's composition is actually reflective of the American populace in totality, it is a good reflection as to how far his 'base' will go to defend the indefensible.

Not every Israeli agrees with their government's actions. That would be like saying all Americans supported Obama when he was president. Fact is there was a LARGE percentage that didn't.
