37 Years of Mass Shootings in the U.S. in One Chart

I really couldn't care less what you do. I just tire of people who are clueless about firearms and who lie about their hatred of our pro gun culture, whining about our rights and our gun ownership. If you are afraid to own a gun-then don't. But stop with the psychobabble that we who own guns all dream of being Doc Holliday or Pat Garrett

I don't care what you people do either , at least not to eachother but the fact remains that we in Europe still enjoy our recreational time without it being dominated by guns. We also don't suffer the mass shootings you peopled do as a result of the control/restrictions in place.

Why you people want to have assualt rifles for pleasure appears extremely disturbing to me

BTW I was thinking more of Yosemite Sam

I couldn't care less. I laugh at people who are afraid of guns.

People always " couldn't care less " whe they have weak/nonexistent arguments imo

And I despair of people that cry about their kids ( or anyone else ) getting shot en masse but can't see the relationship to their gun controls or lack of them

I just addressed your post as it read. And maybe you should read mine better

I never wrote that the need isnt based on facts, I wrote the bold.

Perhaps there is some deep-coded meaning by your words. I see nothing that requires a further response.

Say these words to the victim's families. While you're at it, tell them how you like testosterone-laden-assault-style-weapons.

yes, I understand that many casual supporters of left wing gun control schemes are low information voters on this issue and actually believe the crap the gun banners feed them. The people who debate gun issues and those who actively campaign for gun bans-no I don't believe that crime control motivates more than a small percentage of them

As do I understand that many casual supporters of right-wing anti-gun safety measures are low-information voters on this issue and actually believe the crap the anti-safety gunners feed them. I do believe that the largest % of right-wing gun owners have guns to protect themselves, which can both be arguably relative to public safety and crime control.

Well, the basic definitions of the words 'need' and 'facts' are different. If you dont know that, I'd agree my writing would seem like code.

that is because there is no evidence that more gun controls in the USA will do anything positive (unless you think harassing honest gun owners is a positive)

Next time a bunch of people are killed in "gun free zones" because the only person with a firearm was the killer, you should tell the families of the victims that you are happy they were disarmed. If you are going to argue with emotionally laden drivel, I might as well return the favor.

"anti safety". The new lie of the Safe working conditions for criminals movement is pretending that their schemes to ban guns and harass lawful gun ownership is "gun safety". Its a joke and we all know it. gun safety is not advanced by banning stuff. Gun safety is not advanced by making lawful owners -who have never misused their guns-have to meet more requirements to prevent them from doing what they have yet to do.

Did any Texans return fire with the shooter? Nope. And Texas is open carry state.

you mean at the Walmart near the border where most of the shoppers were Mexicans?

What a load. Video of the massacre showed more white-ish shoppers than Latinos.

How many of them were actually US citizens

You do know that if they are not US citizens they couldn't carry.

How many people in that store had carry permits?>

So your solution is to make sure no one can carry when there is an active shooter?

How pathetic. You state something I did not say.

It's a safe bet that many of the shoppers were armed and yet no one engaged the shooter.

you're lying again. and many of those attacked could not have been legally armed

According to Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, seven Mexican citizens were killed and seven others were injured in the shooting.

You're not making sense. And no one is surprised. Call it a night.

It makes sense to those who dismiss your silly attempts to denigrate lawful carry.

You gun-toters love to overinflate the ZERO effect you have in thwarting mass murders.

Do Armed Civilians Stop Mass Shooters? Actually, No. – Mother Jones

This latest twist on a long-running argument isn’t just absurd on its face; there is no evidence to support it. As I reported recently in our in-depth investigation, not one of 62 mass shootings in the United States over the last 30 years has been stopped this way. More broadly, attempts by armed civilians to intervene in shooting rampages are rare—and are successful even more rarely. (Two people who tried it in recent years were gravely wounded or killed.) And law enforcement overwhelmingly hates the idea of armed citizens getting involved.

Leave it to MT to cite a 7 year old article from Mother Jones that doesn't even attempt to address all the applicable incidents, or confront the facts that (1) the vast majority of mass shootings happen in places where it's illegal or otherwise prohibited to carry a firearm, and (2) the idiotic web of prohibited places makes carrying a firearm in daily life a huge pain in the ass, so few people choose to do it, even when they could.

Do you have some new information? How many mass murders have been thwarted by an armed person in the last 7 years.

How did I denigrate lawful carry? No one returned fire with the shooter.

we don't know because THWARTED means it never became a MASS shooting

Despite all the obstacles to lawful carry, as I explained, I don't have to go very far to debunk your claim that it never happens. This took me 3 minute to find. You should be a little less careless before making false statements.

Carry permit holder that subdued dentist office shooter testifies in court Friday

Of course, now you'll probably tell us that this doesn't count, because the incident was stopped before it actually became a mass shooting.
