Trump tells AOC and Ilhan Omar to 'Go Back' to their 'Original' countries

Nobody ever tells people of European descent to "go back to" Scotland, France or Germany. It's only lobbed at people of non-caucasian descent. Funny that.
 
There's a reason that so many people made such a fuss about "deplorables" and it wasn't because they honestly believed they'd been slandered.

This is red meat for the base. People are supposed to call this (correctly) racist. Then the base gets to high-five each other with one hand while furiously moving the other back and forth, whilst making fun of liberals for allegedly "playing the race card". This is called "playing the 'race card' card."

You can see this in the many threads on this subject around DP. The base did as commanded.

This is not a one-off event. For weeks, trailer trash has been screaming "Omar hates America!" That was to set the stage that no immigrant, no matter how vetted and no matter how American, not even a member of Congress, can be trusted.

Now the President, seizing on that anti American rhetoric, has told members of the US Congress to "go back to where you came from".

This unAmerican and disgraceful rhetoric must be censured.


Does the President understand what it means to be an American?

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly....

and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how...

Help us understand what he meant there, if not kind of bigoted reasoning used by stupid racists everywhere telling people of color to get out of their country and go back to where they came from, which for 3/4 in this case is....the United States.

I'm not sure how one would express white nationalism any better than this series of Tweets.

And so POTUS gets on Twitter and tries to prove her right, and you're defending him. Are you proud of yourself?

Should she apologize for wanting humane treatment of immigrants detained for weeks or months by the United States? And for pointing out that not only does Trump not seem to care about that, he blames those who we have detained for their awful treatment, outlined in detail by the Inspector General's report we've all seen.

But the topic of this thread is in a free country, in the United States, it's OK for people to criticize, and to disagree. Telling U.S. citizens, 3 of 4 of born here, on U.S. soil, to get out if they don't like it, is unAmerican, it's white nationalism, and an ugly strain of bigotry we've seen in YouTube videos too many times on these threads. "GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!" always directed at people of color.

How about all the black older children legally waiting for forever homes in foster care? How many does Omar value that look like her?

I have read his words in the Independent. I do not consider them to be "racist" at all.

The Independent is, I hear a proud left-wing online London newspaper. Its headline was misleading. President Trump realizes that those ladies are Americans and he is delighted that they have used the opportunities open to all Americans to become successful in their chosen field of politics. He is just gently suggesting that as they are full of ideas about improving this country, they might wish to also share their expertise with the countries in which they have family roots.

The President (bless his little heart) needs to say things in a more diplomatic manner, lest people purposely misconstrue the meaning of his remarks.

It sounds like you really don't want us to pay attention to the treatment of refugees under Trump's immigration policy, which is a deliberate policy of cruelty in order to be a deterrent.
