Conservatives should start their own search engine, chat service, social media platform, a "buy right" grass roots campaign. Have freedom squash and liberty onions next to the organic section.

Is anyone shocked big companies have their favored candidate and use their power to benefit the chosen ones.

Good for google! Since the GOP have totally abdicated their duty as a check on this criminal president, at least someone powerful is willing to step up!

If people have a problem with what Google is doing they should boycott Google and not buy their stock. You should start a campaign against them! I hear Bing is awesome :2razz:

Yes. I am. Its a complete abuse of the internet. Facebook and sites like it, are there for free exchange of ideas. There are some common sense rules, but from what I understand, they and You Tube are banning people simply fort political views. That's terribly abusive and needs to be stopped. Google now is going to adjust its presentation of searches so that only the results they approve of get displayed on the first couple pages. That's also terribly abusive and needs to be stopped. Its also against the rules Google has advertised.

This is actually an assault on conservative ideas. Nobody should be happy with that.

Not that what Google is doing is against their own rules and is an abuse of the internet...but fluffy little cheer leaders who can't see past their pom poms.

I saw an interview this morning from the guy. He claims the google effort can deliver 15 million manipulated votes.


Think about that...…

Personally, I don't understand how that is possible. Are people really that lacking in critical thinking skills, and are that gullible?

This type of propaganda effort has parallels to efforts conducted by groups and regimes in the last 100 years or so. None of those stories are good.

Not sure how to address the threat without stepping onto a slippery slope.

At the end of the day, it's going to be about money.

I am not completely opposed to policing the internet and its content. But the qualifications for banning must be above and beyond political bias. All ideas are valid...except obvious BS and of course, threats of violence.

Agreed. Freedom of speech is a fundamental right of all free people. It's a human right. I don't have to agree with everything someone says, but I certainly shouldn't be given the power to refuse someone the right to voice it.


We are in a very dangerous place right now. The internet has given power to select operators who are violating exactly what the Constitution addressed in it's f first order of business.

Personally, I think "all ideas are valid", is as far as it should go. Anything beyond that enters into subjectivity.

I can see some degree of censorship with it comes to certain images. However, I thought it was terrible they didn't show people jumping to their death when the WTC was attacked. That is sanitizing images that need to be seen.


I see this whole area of conversation and policy as being a significant one that must be engaged in ASAP.

This has been out there and as you can see the media in general has blocked it.

For some reason the left does not see the threat themselves that information manipulation creates opinion manipulation. I have no doubt if Google is instrumental in defeating Trump it will be a fair question to ask, “Who owns who?”

We, as tiny, impotent pieces in the bigger system have the most to lose. D.P. and sites like it are the only voice you have. Comforting, isn’t it?
