and it would appear from your posts that you believe our government is correct in separating children from their families and placing them in concentration camps while denying them basic care and basic care items

What I want to know is why these loving parents didn’t pack the kids toothbrushes when they set out on their travels.

Deport them, invade mexico, build a wall/fence/barrier on their side, guard it judiciously. Provide soap is not a solution. Whos going to wash them? Wheres the water come from? What about drying? Wheres the dirty water go to? WHat about girls vs boys? What if some of them are transgendered? How do you say soap in spanish? Who pays all the people to wash them?

The solution is keep them out, and keep us out of babysitting.

I'd argue invading Mexico would be worse than the current situation. What about the climate refugees we will see in the coming decades? Do we keep invading further south or what? The only way to handle this humanely is to expand and fund our system. I don't support child abuse or murder. Those aren't options for me. Long term we could change how we conduct foreign policy with our neighbors to the south. I'm sure the amount of coups we've supported over the years haven't exactly aided in stability in these countries.

There is simply no measurable data that there is not enough money for soap. It's a lot cheaper than a wall.

I'm sure the Trumpies will whine "But it's their parents' fault we won't give them soap!" It only serves to make them look even less humane.

Concentration camps? The right has ceded the moral high ground on this one. Good luck trying to claw it back.

Oh I'm sorry. If by 'concentration camps' you were referring to some Club Med type camp and not the Nazi camps everyone thinks of when you mention concentration camps, I'll gladly listen to what you really meant.
