Trump rips 'horrible' New York Times, Washington Post, wonders if people will 'demand' he stay in White House | TheHill

The good news is that at the end of 6 years, after America has been made GREAT again and I leave the beautiful White House both of these horrible papers will quickly go out of business & be forever gone," Trump continued.**

He also asked if "people would demand that I stay longer" to "keep America great" after two terms in the White House.*

Just remember, he loooves the Constitution, right? He doesn't plan on putting critical press out of business and staying in power, right?

The Post and the Times are just biased propaganda rags for the Democrat party. I'm all for the first amendment but I also don't think Trump should be forced to engage or support the Democrat version of Pravda or Xinhua.

Both are rated left canter with a high degree of factual reporting. hardly Pravda....

Beautiful White House? Didn't he call the White House a 'dump' awhile ago?

Replace "factual" with "selective" reporting. Yeah they may pull out "facts" (and other times blatant lies/fake news) however they only seem to report on the facts that advance their agenda. In my book most of their articles read nothing more than state propaganda for the Democrat party.

Maybe not, but i recall great gnashing of teeth when Obama wouldn't sit for an interview with Fox.

Will you be demanding that he stay in power after 8 years?

There's plenty of media that is basically Republican propaganda. I guess that's different, isn't it?

Media has akways been biased, it is supposed to be and is enshrined in the Constitution. I know that only certain parts of the Constitution are palatable to the right though.

Well after he's been in power for 10 years, there will be some renovations no doubt.

Trump trolls the haters again. The haters go ballistic.

1. I voted for President Trump, and -- if I can -- would vote for him in 2020 simply because the tactics used by his enemies have been disgraceful and -- IMHO -- un-American.

2. That said, I agree that he has an unpleasant personality.

3. Those two newspapers ARE out to get him, but he should ignore them.

4. He is wrong: Even if he is reelected in 2020 (which is very doubtful because of his enemies' successful demonization of him and because of his self-sabotage), the American people will be tired of him by 2024.

5. To be truthful, he has accomplished very little in making America "great" again. Of course, that proves how ludicrous his critics have been to compare him to Adolf Hitler, who did have the power to remake Germany. President Trump, on the contrary, has accomplished very little because he does NOT control the levers of power. The Dems' refusal to stop the flow of unauthorized immigrants from every part of the world is an example.

6. I will be disappointed when he loses in 2020, for I do not want to see his vicious enemies win. But I acknowledge that President Biden/Warren/Sanders/Harris will restore domestic tranquility as the nation continues its dizzying and unbelievable change.

Why is itvthat he's trolling when it's inconvenient for you?

Just admit that you want to replace the Constitution with an absolute monarchy. Be honest.

I'm willing to bet that even if he loses, he will declare an emergency so that he stays in power.

Any American should go ballistic when a President implies that he will stay on power after his term.

Me? Why is this about me?

Why do you hate the First Amendment, digsbe?

That's not what he implied.

Both papers are nothing but mouth pieces for the DNC/hate Trump press!
They are biased and very partisan and should be treated as such!

Good job comrade.

I wonder how many non-very partisan political junkies are paying attention to things like this anymore. I know I have put Trump and everything dealing with him on ignore. I don't even watch any of the cable news networks anymore, all three. They have become way too partisan for my blood.

Let the ultra partisans, the pro and anti Trumpers continue their feud while I watch something important, like the Braves game. After a slow start, the Braves have moved into first place.

if Tweety does anything to interfere with the peaceful transition of power, he needs to be arrested and jailed for the rest of his miserable life.

I understand that during President Nixon's final days, there were rumors that he might use the military to stay in power.

The then Secretary of Defense gave orders to the Pentagon to obey orders ONLY from the Defense Secretary -- NOT the President (the C-in-C).

President Trump has a huge ego and no sense of humor and doesn't know when to shut up.

BUT he is not crazy. He knows that declaring a state of emergency would be ignored and that he would be "escorted" out of the White House to the derisive laughter of his enemies.

He may, indeed, skip the inauguration of President Biden, but he may surprise everyone by attending the event and being the very soul of graciousness.

(P.S. I remember that some people feared that President Obama would find some excuse to stay in office, too.)
