Leaked Proud Boys Chats Show Members Plotting Violence At Rallies

...Are people seriously trying to argue that it's worse for someone to expose evidence of a white supremacist organization planning violence than for said organization to plot violence in the first place?

I'm getting the impression that more than a few users need to asses their priorities.

That’s one way of spinning it. How does it feel defending the indefensible? These **** wads are known for and have a reputation for violence. You know part of the problem might be, I was reading is that they make it a point that their leaders discourage masturbation. (How The **** they do that, I don’t know) but that might be one of the root causes to these idiots anger and issues.:lamo
 
There doesn’t appear to be a crime from either the Clown Boys or whoever leaked their messages. What this does do is provide a glimpse into their true intentions, which they had obviously been lying about all along.

Whatever repercussions these bearded mouth breathers receive for their violent rhetoric from employers, family, or friends, is well deserved.

Free speech should be punished, including loss of gainful employment.

If any of these ****heads have jobs, they should be cautious of their employers finding out. There are consequences in today's society for belonging to hate groups which includes being terminated from your job.

It's certainly not what I'd think of as Employee of the Month stuff, but freedoms include the freedom to act like a tragic fool. Not in every state, and constitutional freedoms should not be infringed upon, even in the case of so-called "hate groups."

An employer can terminate you for just about any reason, And it’s Smart business to do so if you belong to a hate group. You can cause damage to their reputation and cost them revenue losses.

You're free to act a fool but nothing says the rest of us have to tolerate you. No one is infringing on your freedom when you say racist things and get fired over it. You have freedom of speech not freedom from consequence, the most obvious example of this being when the police warn you that the things you say can be used against you in a court of law.

Depends on the state actually, and "hate group" is pretty ill-defined - some people might consider the Girl Scouts a hate group. Possibly, as could firing someone because - for instance - they did or didn't vote for Hillary.

It depends; free speech is a thing, as is protection in some states for employee political views. It depends, and "racist" is pretty broad, especially as pretty much everyone is a bigot. It depends; indeed.

Human capacity for racism and bigotry might be broad but their definitions are pretty clear. Your political views aren't illegal but your racist comments might get you fired. This isn't a violation of your free speech. In fact I hope more racists exercise their right to free speech and vocalize their racism publically and on social media.

My employer has operations in every state and and just about every country in the world. If an employee conducts themselves in such a way even off of the clock that can harm the brand and reputation, they're gone. These days more and more employers are implementing such policies that you agree on condition of employment.

The players can afford the fines, for them they're making a statement for a just cause. If an employee from my firm makes a homophobic, racist or anti-semitic slur on their social media, there is no fine, they're merely terminated.
