And yet some lawmaker, who is ostensibly some sort of "role model", feels compelled to make excuses for men who can't control themselves when a woman says "NO"?

Women, especially today, have for the most part figured it out when it comes to dealing with men who don't have proper manners and a proper upbringing. They're not about to take your crap anymore, so you better bring your best or they're not interested. And when you get right down to it, procreation and marriage or not, it is still "the mating game" in most respects, even if it's only for the sheer pleasure of it.
And because it IS the mating game, I don't see any reason why women shouldn't keep their standards up.

It's supposed to make us want to be better men, all except for the guys who count on flying somewhere else to get the cheap seats, or who engage in fantasies where they imagine themselves being in the cheap seats.
Due to the anonymity of this forum, those guys can "be anyone they want to pretend to be"...as long as there are people gullible enough to buy the baloney they're cooking up.

Simple, the lawmaker didn't "thread the needle" with his words. If you carefully read what the lawmaker said, his intent was for men "you can't be too careful". It's the opposite of rape culture. His intent was to remind men that they need to be mindful of possible rape accusations.

Also, in what year did your adventures take place?
 
Seems to me that it was a misspeak. Probably was trying to say consensual sex with claims of rape after, no? Has the speaker come out and said anything, about what he meant?

Pretty clear consensual rape is not a thing

These guys find the GOP, and the GOP does nothing to rebuke them. Hillary was right, a large percentage of the GOP are deplorable. The fact that the GOP membership refuses to admonish or otherwise call out this thinking means they constructively sanction it, meaning most of the GOP is deplorable.

Life of indentured servitude to the offspring of a hateful act, commanded by the church, and of course with limited social safety net thanks to the conservatives cutting it all.

It's almost like they want to force you to go to a church for charity. I can only imagine why.

90 or so percent of the GOP are deplorable. That much is quite clear given that they have sold their souls to the trump himself.
 
All I can say is the GOP are going have a huge percentage of women voting against them in the next elections, and women out number men by at least 2 to 1. Glad to see the right revelling their true selves to the People, there will be no going back after this.

What’s that supposed to mean? Presumably their are Irish rapists, Italian rapists, etc., among immigrants, legal and otherwise. Why not mention those immigrants? Trump, in his spreading fear mode, made an accusation without proof, SOP for him. He also said there were Middle Easterners in the caravan, no refugee vetting, that blacks mostly kill whites, and other lies. He’s consistent, I’ll give you that.

I voted for Trump because it was either Trump or Hillary. I am glad I voted for Trump. He has done better as president than I thought he would.
