Romney rejects Trump judicial pick who smeared Obama

Very mixed up again... condition normal!

No, noting will be normal while we have a toddler in the Oval Office pretending to be a Republican. Thank goodness for real Republicans like Senator Romney who stand up to Trump and don't plant their lips on his rear end.

Mitt Romney was the only Republican senator to vote against one of President Donald Trump's judicial nominees on Tuesday. And he did so in part to defend former President Barack Obama.

Romney cast the lone GOP "no" vote against Michael Truncale, who was confirmed 49-46 on Tuesday morning to the Eastern District of Texas. Truncale called Obama an "un-American imposter" in June 2011, and explained to the Senate Judiciary Committee that he was "merely expressing frustration by what I perceived as a lack of overt patriotism on behalf of President Obama." He also said he believed Obama was born in Hawaii and did not subscribe to "birtherism," a racist theory that the president was not an American citizen.

Predictably, Mitt Romney continues to be the strongest asset and supporter the Democratic Party has. Can he successfully get Trump removed siding with Democrats, believing this will force Republicans to nominate him for 2020? Yes, I think Romney really is that stupid.

I expect Romney considers Trump to be his fault to some extent, as if he hadn't sat out 2016 he might very well be president today.

Romney's a world class 1%'er douche but he has some shame, which would be refreshing at this point.

There is really no logic to his comments, other than his envy of the fact that Trump is President and he is not and never will be.

3 things needed to know about mittens: 1. he's a carpetbagger. pick a state and stick with it. 2. he didn't have the spine to
stand up to candy Crowley during the debates; i don't trust him to have a spine to defend and protect the american people.
3. He's a never-trumper and anti-maga. & Trump has enough on his plate than to deal with this LOSER!

Yea we know anyone who does not like Trump is # 1 in your silly Trump hate book!

I'm voting for Romney in the GOP primary next year. He is what Republicans used to be before they sold their souls.

As terrible as Obama was, I'm thankful he won so that McCain and Romney were both never elected president. They are literally no
different than Democrats. Had either have won, there would have never been a President Trump!

Romney will not be on the ballot by the time the Primaries get to Texas if he decides to run at all.

Any wonder why Romney lost his presidential run?
He has fought 10 times harder against president Trump then he
ever did Obama. Great job Utah electing a true RINO and
anti-Trump.

How old are you? Old enough to rememer when Republicans weren't lock-step marchers and there were liberal Republicans? I remember that. That was when the right had William F. Buckley, Jr.- now that they've got Glenn Beck and Bill Hannity we get juvenile, simple-minded responses like yours from Repubs.
Bunch of drones, that's the Republicans today, both because they're single-purpose marching worker ants and because of the annoying humming noise they make.

Maybe he just has a conscience?

Imagine a leftist defending a filthy rich capitalist like Mitt Romney. Do you have no shame?

Well, looking at his behavior now he seems more honest than most of the republican trump-behind-kissers in the Senate.

Mitt Romney? Honest? LOLOLOLOLOL!!! Your anti-Trump hatred is blinding you to how much of a snake the guy is.

Greed and Debt: The True Story of Mitt Romney and Bain Capital – Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone said:
Mitt Romney is one of the greatest and most irresponsible debt creators of all time. In the past few decades, in fact, Romney has piled more debt onto more unsuspecting companies, written more gigantic checks that other people have to cover, than perhaps all but a handful of people on planet Earth.

By making debt the centerpiece of his campaign, Romney was making a calculated bluff of historic dimensions – placing a massive all-in bet on the rank incompetence of the American press corps. The result has been a brilliant comedy: A man makes a $250 million fortune loading up companies with debt and then extracting million-dollar fees from those same companies, in exchange for the generous service of telling them who needs to be fired in order to finance the debt payments he saddled them with in the first place.

What shame does he have? How can you have shame when you perform leveraged buyouts of companies, load up those companies with debt, fire tons of people, and then pay yourself handsome consulting fees? Shame? Give me a break.

Filthy financial con-men who will screw over decent hard working Americans as long as they get paid? Sorry, but no thanks. That Republican party is dead, and good riddance.

Naahh ... Romney was a never-Trumper before Trump was even elected.

Once elected as Senator, he started the Trump-bashing on twitter before he even got sworn in. (grin)

Romney doesn't have a conscience ... never had.

Must... begin... the... culling... The angry orange demands it!... but yes i agree Romney doesnt have a conscience.

Now you know how non trumpist cons feel.

You mean when the GOP used to believe in free markets, instead of picking economic winners and losers?; you mean when the GOP believed in balanced budgets?; You mean when the GOP believed that it was immoral to exploit the bankruptcy laws, live like a king and pay no taxes -- essentially being a parasite to society?; you mean when the GOP believed in the rule of law and not, 'I may be guilty of obstruction but I can't be prosecuted.' That GOP?
LOL, nice rambling pile of junk. You don't even paint with a broad brush, you use an industrial sprayer. I'd rebut this but I don't want to encourage more verbal diarrhea on your part.

:bs

Romney got elected senator only a few months ago.

At least Trump promised to go after hedge fund managers and attack tax loopholes. Of course he didn't fulfill that promise, but that doesn't mean I'm going to praise Romney.
