AOC Quits Facebook, Calls Social Media 'Public Health Risk'

Someone needs to tell the bar-tending socialist bimbo that Twitter is also social media. She has no plans of quiting that though, right?

"Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories." Page 31

"To be complacent with the enemy's strengths is to invite defeat." Page 17, Art of War - Translation by Richard Howell 1932

I see all women as the enemy. :)

And now my 9 yr old granddaughter is demanding a snack for herself and her two girlfriends. I must obey or suffer the consequences. She said I must hurry before her brothers and cousins arrive to devour everything that's good. The boys are in grandma's car. I drive faster.

Moxie is a brand best known for its sodas (pop). I had a dog named Moxie. Like my current dog, Dog, he was a coward.

Thanks for the evidence proving your previous quote was in error. Understood about grandkids and dogs. Both are much more important than an immature first term Rep out of 27 in New York. Why so many people, especially the RW, make such a big deal out of her is funny to me.

It'd probably have no more effect than telling the Twit-in-Chief that his daily twittering from his toilet has made him a laughingstock of the world.

With Sun Tzu, everything depends on the interpreter.

I despise AOC, not for her big mouth or idealistic socialism, but for being an inherent deceiver and liar. She is not one of the people, that she purports to be. She is a spoiled product of elitism, from Westchester County where she was raised, not the Bronx, not the Barrio, but of an elite school where it is fashionable for rich girls to profess socialism and a false egalitarianism as the family picks up the bills.

Trump enjoys pressing buttons. He has made himself the great white whale for the Democratic Party and the left, and we all know how that story ended.

Nothing in this life is what we think it is, including Trump.

Meh, I'm not so harsh on her. She means well but she's young, idealistic and ignorant. There are a lot of paths such a person can take; she can become bitter and flip-flop into a power-hungry, corrupt crone like Hillary or Nancy or she can actually become a force for good....but most likely she'll give up and become an Instagram celebrity constantly bitching and whining about how bad government has become.

Agreed on both points, although I do not believe the Democrats are necessarily going to end up like Ahab. If they focus more on impeaching Trump than on cleaning house in 2020 then, yes, I agree they are going to find themselves in trouble.

I think it's a very smart move and more politicians should follow suit starting with Trump. Get off twitter for a while, give it a break and speak to the American people as a whole through press briefings. There's millions of Americans that don't have access to the internet for one reason or another but the majority of Americans own a television set.

She is off Facebook not twitter. That being said I agree Trump should get off Twitter, but he loves to react instantly which is part of his problem as a president.

The election was Hilary's to lose, not Trump's to win. Now we will see a repeat performance because the Dems over react.

A possible outcome. Obviously the Democrats are overreacting, but, again, the Independents will determine the outcome. My guess is that the majority of Independents will vote against the incumbents as their best move....to be repeated in 2022, 2024, etc.

AOC will never see a POTUS race with herself in it, since something much bigger is on the horizon. Though I think she's a superstar.

In other words...someone that is advising her has gotten through to her that she should back off on the social media crap because she is non-stop making herself look stupid and hurting the rat party.

I feel cheated when I don't see AOC on the news during my 2 hours of cable news.
This bombastic flourish of hers beats them all:

"We Need to ‘Invent Technology That’s Never Been Invented’?” AOC

“We can put so many people to work,” Ocasio-Cortez told an audience at a televised town hall Monday night. “We need to refit
so many pipes. We need to re-lay roads. We need to rebuild schools. We need to invent technology that’s never even been invented yet.”

I don't know, maybe a bit too complex for her teenage brain, maybe in a few years when she grows up. I wonder
what she wants to be when she becomes an adult. Republican??

It just has to get exhausting after a while I imagine. It's not easy being the ire of the Republican Party, "centrists", and the DNC because of actually having a coherent ideology and desire to make actual change in people's lives.

...so you're just not going to address how those "changes" to people's lives. Wouldn't be for the better, in almost any circumstance, or not even acknowledging the fact that she's already cost her own city billions, upon billions. Of lost revenue and income tax with her own shortsighted, childish antics.

The woman is a sad running joke at this point.

I'm thinking she found out social media is more of a danger to her than a help to her. That live video she sent out...the one with her talking with her mouth full of popcorn and wine...didn't do you any favors.

Besides, she has the media on her side. She doesn't need social media anymore...or her followers...anymore.

Her biggest following is still on twitter, to the tune of nearly 4 million at this point.

Nobody is saying everything is gonna be free. Letting people die in a first world nation because they didn't have enough green paper with slave owners on the face of it is far more insane if you ask me.

Forgetting that those slave owners are part of the reason such people are no longer slaves in the US to begin with and also forgetting that Cortez's party is the one that fought so hard to keep them on the plantation in the first place.

I hold no illusion that the democratic party has changed over the last few decades. But even I can tell that with their proposal and then sudden rejection of their Green new Deal. A deal that specifically promised things to those that either lacked the ability, or motivation to work. I would be more precise. But the deal itself wasn't nearly as clear in it's own wording.

So then what's your solution? Don't fight for beliefs or ideals because it's easier to live in a political system that is only benefitting a handful of people at most?

Everyone benefits. So long as they're willing to work for it.

A superstar?
Cortez is a blithering idiot.
She's a living lipstick advert.
But her intellect and posts will be missed.

By Republicans.

The IKEA video was AWESOME!

How did a junior congresswoman who's only been in her position for four months cost her district billions of dollars again?

Did I say district?

I was assuming district, because AOC is a Congresswoman for a district in the state of New York. How did AOC cost the city of New York, a city that has the second largest economy by GDP in the world billions of dollars?

She lead her own little war to keep Amazon from coming into the city. Chasing away all of those jobs and the money that the city desperately needed. Around 25k jobs, which Cuomo himself pointed out.

we should send some advisors, armament and food so they can rise up against THEIR corrupt regime...and make Venezuela great again.
