So what? The leftwing including some on this forum instantly blamed workers with NO evidence whatsoever, which is predictable given the extreme degree the Democratic Party despises blue collar workers as did the French government - until it was pointed out no one was working on the restoration that day.

Well, I watched the video of Beck and he didn't blame terrorists or anyone else.

He said (i'm paraphrasing) that IF they discover it was Muslim terrorists, because of the tension in Paris, authorities might not release that info because it would likely lead to large scale violence.

Your claim is that IBEW members are happy with their wages increasingly falling behind COLA? Or how many jobs are done by non-union electricians? Really?

The last time I spoke with an IBEW Journeyman is Dallas was 4 days ago. The DFW Metroplex is booming because the state is still run by Republicans, meaning no state income tax and being a right-to-work state, overall with less regulations. However, there is little major construction going on in the City of Dallas, which is Democrat run.

The IBEW also is a bit different as they do a lot of government contract work directly or indirectly where the contract requires union labor even if a right to work state.

There is plenty of basis to speculate it was arson. Numerous churches have been burned by arson in the last few months in France and currently France is undergoing so many riots it was necessary to deploy the French military - for which arson is a tactic used by rioters - whether it is atheist socialist/communist leftwingers or radical theocratic anti-secular Muslims - both of which are vehemently anti-Catholic Church. Or it could have been any other arsonist who hates the Catholic Church, is an anarchist, or just likes to start fires.

Or it could have been a tourist or employee who snuck off to smoke a cigarette and tossed it while still lit.

Or it could be caused by an electrical issue. Or it could have been caused by ___________________.

What we KNOW is that the immediately claim by the French government that it was caused by a workman on the restoration was 100% false since no workers were there that day.

In my opinion, it was most likely arson. However, that does not mean any organized group did it. I think the fire likely was started deliberately by A person.
