[h=3]Smollett, two others in "active interviews" with Chicago police; Evidence of police "slow play" emerging[/h]Chicago police today are questioning two persons of interest in the Jussie Smollett hate crime investigation, according to a department spokesperson. Both are African-American.

TMZ reported that the persons of interest are an actor who has appeared with Smollett on Fox television’s Empire and a person who was traveling with the second actor. These individuals are believed to be the “potential persons of interest” who were seen in low-quality images released by Chicago police days after the alleged attack, according to a police spokesperson.

A source familiar with the records provided by the Empire star states that Smollett downloaded his phone activity into a spreadsheet and then deleted certain phone calls before handing over the records. “He did the [detectives’] job for them because then they only had to focus on the numbers he deleted.”

This whole thing smelled funky from the beginning and hasn't got any better. I hate the idea of speculation but nothing has really come out to support the original accusations while more and more stuff keeps coming out to question them.

Look, I know that nobody would ever create a situation for the express purpose of artificially inflaming racial and political tensions. Well, not liberal progressive or anti-Trump person would. Only Conservatives do that kind of thing.

The guy is obviously traumatized and shouldn't be expected to give an accurate account of what happened. It's actually a miracle that he came forward this soon because a lot of people who suffer traumatic incidents need to wait decades before they can cope with the emotional damage done by the memories.

Muggings happen every day in Chicago and get no press coverage because the perpetrators (and victims) are usually black.

This one gets weeks of attention because of the idea that white muggers attacked a black man.

The media isn't interested in truth. It's interested in tarnishing the image of whites, even if it's libel. We don't have a news media. We have propaganda.

Sources: Jussie Smollett staged attack with help of others, allegedly being written off 'Empire'

Multiple sources have told ABC7 Eyewitness News that police are investigating whether Smollett and the two men staged the attack allegedly because Smollett was being written off of "Empire."

A source familiar with the investigation told the ABC7 I-Team that Smollett failed to appear for an interview with detectives earlier Thursday.

So we've gone from possibly Jussie was covering for some hook-up gone bad, to he KNEW his "attackers" who are both black, and they perhaps staged the whole thing.
If true, throw the book at all of them.

Although it's not officially a "hoax" at this point there is a whole lot of reporting that it was staged. The cops, so far, are merely saying that they won't confirm those reports.

The journalists who push these stories aren't idiots. They know the crime in Chicago and around the country. Calling them idiots gives them far too much credit. They push stories like these, even if libelous, to push their anti-white, anti-Christian agenda. No, these aren't just liars. They're willfully doing evil.

Unless what the CPD does runs contrary to carefully crafted public statements. You don’t literally break down the door of someone’s house and seize items for mere “persons of interest” and Smollett was summoned for another interview because he altered the phone records it took him weeks to provide. They’re building a case against him.

There was incriminating evidence found in the possession of the Nigerian brothers.

1. Smollet staged the attack.

2. Smollet lied when he said that he was attacked by two white boys.

Either way, Smollet lied to create racial divisions. He's a racist piece of ****.

It would take a Smollet mea culpa to be considered resolved given all the professional office holders who climbed on board.
There are still some dead-enders who still haven't given up on the Nathan Phillips' story either.

I'm wondering if this is simply a work related incident where the Brothers were upset with something that went down on the set of Empire and said the MAGA stuff to potentially throw the cops off the trail to make it appear to be a racial hate crime, or possibly they were just homophobic.

Having said that, another thing that points to this likely being a hoax is that the brothers were bodyguards, one of which an amateur boxer. The fact Smollett didn't have any serious injuries (assuming these were the alleged attackers) does increase the likelihood of it being a hoax in my opinion.

Smollett said 2 white men in MAGA hats attacked him.

1. No one is going to confuse 2 Nigerians as 'white men'.

2. Smollett knew the 2 men from his Empire show, and should have recognized them during the attack, don't ya think??

I could be wrong, but I think according to Smollett's story they were wearing masks. Maybe I was thinking of another incident though, I haven't followed this one to closely.

I'm not too far ahead of you, lol. I didn't follow every detail either... but he seemed able to identify the race of the attackers somehow, according to the media.

Unless he orchestrated the entire event, which is my #1 theory. Had Smollett turned over his unredacted phone records, I'll bet they would have contained calls or text messages to the two Nigerian guys.
