California Firefighters Union president to Trump: ‘You’re an idiot’

California is going through Hell in part because the State of California has done poor quality work...... for over 20 years fire experts have been warning that this was going to happen, that we were failing to conduct our affairs in an intelligent manner, that the leaders were failing.....i know because I have been listening.

We need to talk about that.

The "Dont look at us, this is because of Global Warming!" excuse cant be allowed to work.

Hell I remember the California fires like 18 years ago My friend and I were driving around looking for anyone that needed help and we find a whole firetruck full of guys just asleep on the job getting free money. Kinda weird seeing a house burn down 50 feet from them as they just sleep on the job.

Well...common sense says if you want to borrow millions of dollars from someone, then DON"T INSULT THEM.

Common sense says that the President of the nation should NOT play petty partisan politics because he has a hard on for a state that rejects him at the ballot box when he should be trying his upmost best to give all their he can to Americans in time of disaster.

Would they rather be right, or have the millions of dollars by using more decent language.
There are lots of ways to say the same thing and not have it come across as an insult.

Trump is the president. You can't undo that.
Common sense says knowing if you can not undo that, but still need the money, you shut your trap and hire someone who knows how to talk in a way so as not to antagonize.

but most have no idea what I am talking about, do they?

The California Firefighter's Union has 30,000+ members. No doubt he get's paid very well to manage that union.

Fewer fires means fewer firefighters, which means fewer dues, which means less revenue and that could lead to Rice's salary being cut.

There's a prime example of someone profiting from these wildfires. It's obviously in Rice's personal financial interest for these fires to occur.

Now, why wouldn't fuel be cleared a safe distance away from obvious ignition sources?

This just further reinforces the argument that these fires are the result of piss-poor prevention management.

A woman in Northern California said Monday that the Pacific Gas & Electric Co. contacted her about “sparks” in power lines on her property one day before the deadly wildfire in Paradise began.

Betsy Ann Cowley said the power company emailed her on Wednesday and warned that they were “having problems with sparks” and needed access to her property in the small town of Pulga.

Even all the dead trees are partly a result of bad management, there never should have been so many trees to begin with, that was a result of not properly logging. Also I was reading but have not confirmed that we have a lot of genetically inferior trees, trees that are not at all drought tolerant, because they were planted for their lumber quality....lumber that we decided that we did not want.

Not even close. But you keep defending the orange ***** grabber as much as you like. The majority of the world are laughing at him and America is officially a 's***-hole" country thanks to him.

Why "not even close"? It sounds like the fuel that started this fire was too damn close.

Yep. If there's mismanagement then you address it accordingly, and that doesn't include talking about it publicly while the fires are ongoing and people are dying. It's like visiting someone in the hospital and using the time to blame them for their condition. You can be technically correct, but it is a really stupid thing to do. Clearly Trump never read "How Not to Be an A-hole".

trump CANNOT read. It is well known that white house staff just put papers in front of him to sign.

That's exactly right.

You can let Mother Nature do her thing (forest fires are her way of cleaning up the woods), or you can have the most populated state in the Union. Ya can't have both.

The Murdoch owned New York Post is not a source I would take seriously.

Thank you for the other sources. So it appears that PG&E knew about the problems but failed to do something about it. Couldn't they have notified the authorities and asked them to do something? I think a full investigation into these bushfires is warranted.

Including: why wasn't better fire prevention excecised by state and local govrrnment.

Remember when we had a President that looked after ALL Americans. Boy do I miss President Obama.
