Kanye west i've been used!!! Breaks from politics

I can't take Kanye seriously on anything at all. If he's for Trump, great. If he's not for Trump, great. He is completely irrelevant to me.

Kanye's name recognition and opulent lifestyle do not equate with success. His publicity stunts highlight his mental derangement, full-on narcissism and confirm him as a doofus.

When Kanye speaks, we laugh at him.

No conservative is going to buy Kanye's music, especially when they listen to some of his songs talking about issues pertaining to police brutality.

They found someone famous they can call "here my black friend" and claim that the entirity of all American black voters are now moving to supporting conservatives or Trump, and the black community isn't buying it.

Just like they (and liberals) aren't buying Kanye's MAGA act, it's not about Trump, it's about Kanye. It's ALWAYS about Kanye, and he likes the attention...until it doesn't make money anymore.

Trump and his moron supporters are so desperate for ANY type of support from anyone, that they'll even take support from a clown like Kanye. Mind you, that the same GOP voters who pretend to like Kanye now, HATED Kanye back in 2005 when he said Bush didn't care about black people. Ironic, isn't it?

First of all, I want to say that I, giving the benefit of the doubt, don't think most right-wingers are actually aware of the discrepancy between how he was viewed then, and now. We're talking two administration ago, and most people are only capable of examining how they presently feel, if they are old enough to have an opinion about the George W. administration at all.

While I was (just) old enough to be aware of and debate about the Bush/Cheney administration at the time, I really had no idea how Kanye West thought about things, or if he had political opinions at all. I have a limited scope of musical artists that I'm actually interested in, and Kanye simply isn't it. If Pink Floyd had come out against the president, then perhaps I would be aware of that.

As for the way some Trump supporters have desperately clung to his support, I actually think that it's twofold. Many Republicans probably despise the image of their party as the 'racist' party. Not only would '#walkAway' being real vindicate those who abhor that image, but any significant portion of African-Americans turning Republican would spell obvious trouble for the left. This is wishful thinking at it's finest, and I almost feel sorry for those who think that one off-his-meds celeb indicates some sort of revolutionary political shift.

While I think Kanye is off his rocker, he has had a bit more than 30 minutes of attention. He has been making hit music for about 14 years, has WON 21 Grammys (the third most Grammys in a single night of any artist ever) and is worth about $145M. He is crazy, but he is also talented. He is married to a Kardashian, but isn’t the same as them.

Glad to see Kanye's 'love affair' with Candace is over. From what I've seen and read about her, frankly, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. Seriously, only a dupe could love the way she thinks for very long.

But is he really getting out of politics if his parting words were his opinions on refugees and gun control?

"...Ye went on to thank his family and community for "supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world." He also expressed compassion for people seeking asylum and parents fighting to protect their children from violence and war.
