Good question. I think a bit of revisionist history on his part. I looked it up one time and he had some of the lowest support among blacks of any Democrat presidential candidate since LBJ.

The science says Elizabeth Warren is 99.91% non-Native American. She's actually whiter than most of the country is.

Wrongly thinking that the Republicans would give it a rest if she just took the DNA test and showed that a distant relative was Native American.

The only one being untruthful is her telling people that she has native american blood.
she is no more native american than the next person.

She has been lying for years about it.
It is now fact that she has been lying.

being at max 1/512 does not make you an american indian.
she is not a minority she is not an indian and it is an insult to those that are.

Why do I constantly have to say that I am not "you all" and am only one person?

Given the insignificance of her Native American blood (particularly when NA blood wasn't available to sample), Warren was foolish to have announced her proof. Somebody should have done the math here.

Of course she put herself on the minority list for personal gain, whether or not it it came to fruition (I don't believe it did) is irrelevant.
