Former Yale Law School Dean Robert Post slammed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh for stoking “the fires of partisan rage and male entitlement" in an op-ed in Politico Magazine

“For as long as Kavanaugh sits on the court, he will remain a symbol of partisan anger, a haunting reminder that behind the smiling face of judicial benevolence lies the force of an urgent will to power. No one who felt the force of that anger could possibly believe that Kavanaugh might actually be a detached and impartial judge,” Post wrote.

“Kavanaugh will inevitably become the focus of distrust and mobilization. His very presence will undermine the court’s claim to legitimacy; it will damage the nation’s commitment to the rule of law. It will be an American tragedy,” he added.

Here's from a man whose opinion I respect. Sad years ahead in this country.

This whole era will likely be remembered as a time when angry voters wanted to set fire to America and its trusted institutions, and they got their wish.

A 'law professor' that advocates for guilt until proven innocent and engages in mindless leftist politics. Well...THATS very...ummm...whats the word...'progressive'.

The Left's lunacy knows no bounds.

Indeed. The very bad standard 'By any means necessary' rears its ugly head once again.

And the sad fact that Trump is the one supplying them with tinder, gasoline and matches is the real tragedy .

Yes, the Democrats really overreached on this one, and it will be remembered for a long, long time.

Indeed. The very bad standard 'By any means necessary' rears its ugly head once again.

yep-two years ago-at two different times (2016 Class Reunions and then the Cincinnati Yale Club annual dinner) Yale's top law professor Akhil Amar noted that even he, a liberal Hillary supporter, was concerned about the poisonous monolithic leftist mindset that had permeated the law school and was threatening intellectual freedom and development.

For you perhaps.

wait till the new "gang of five" start taking a hacksaw to Obama regulations and Blue state gun bans. It will sound like castration day on the pig farm.

At the same time these education institutions (liberal / progressive indoctrination centers) are pumping out graduating students programmed in the same.

its amazing but many of the kids who go to the very top law schools-figure by the time they are in the school-they are smarter than the rest of the country and they are in a better position to run the lives of others than those people themselves. and the professors tend to accentuate that attitude.

poisonous monolithic leftist mindset

Those are not the statements of rational thought.

They are statements of partisan hatred, the same extreme partisanship that has rendered the Congress of the United States dysfunctional.

This nation is more divided than it has been since the Civil War, even more divided than it was in the late '60s over the Vietnam War and Civil Rights.

When are these leftwing nutbars going to realize that elections have consequences?

And to be truthful, I don't expect the left in this country to ever accept responsibility for what they did to smear Judge Kavanaugh, staining his good reputation...
The very idea that the leftist bullies should blame him for what they did to him is almost laughable if it were not so damn tragic.

A 'law professor' that advocates for guilt until proven innocent and engages in mindless leftist politics. Well...THATS very...ummm...whats the word...'progressive'.

Ahhh the rabid right Trumpers seem rather mindless in their rhetoric...

Actually read the article and point to where the law professor says one word about sexual assault or blackout binge drinking.

Kavanaugh is a highly partisan political juror. Let's remember this was a stacked deck set-up to get a political lapdog for the far right on the bench. The rabid right seems to forget the thousands of pages from the BushII era addressing torture and justifying the Iraq debacle that were kept out of the conversation.

Pressure makes diamonds or a little squirt of oil if the lump of coal has a flaw in it... and Kavanaugh squirted with his highly partisan rant about Clinton ( a page out of the Trump supporters playbook)

The committee of men were already to railroad him through but Kavvy just couldn't help himself and lose he temper and spout highly partisan crap.

THAT was the professor's point... :peace

was Kagan-who has NO judicial experience and had been part of the Obama administration, a hard core partisan pick who also was picked to reward two important Democrat constituency groups?

Why do you respect his opinion?

Which institution was set fire to by confirming a qualified man?

He's too emotional, and because of his time with Ken Starr he has a deep grudge against the Clintons. He is hardly unbiased.

As I pointed out before, being a Conservative Judge means you’re benefitting from affirmative action like practice, since the pool is small and mediocrity reigns.

Too emotional? For responding to a Democrat engineered attack on his character?

And a "deep grudge"? Really? Has this manifested itself in any of his rulings or decisions?

And there is no "un-biased" person living. Everyone is subject to some bias. His sin is not sharing your biases.
