Accuser's schoolmate says she recalls hearing of alleged Kavanaugh incident

I find her claim she remembers hearing a rumor about the assault interesting. Her claim she believes Ford, however, doesn’t really carry any weight with me since they weren’t even friends.

I, for one, do not have to read his book to know the attitude that comes with spoiled rich brats raised in silk diapers feeling their entitlement and that the rules do not apply to them because they are special by virtue of somebody else money . It is well known to me and reading a book will not teach me anything new.

I don't know that this is a lie, only that her husband's claim is at variance with the therapist's notes.

It's also possible that what is claimed never happened. Kavanaugh appears very eager to meet with the Committee on Monday...his accuser not so much and after saying she was. ;)

So how often, JANFU, are therapists' notes incorrect? And does this depend on whether they're handwritten, dictated/transcribed/or written using custom software?

Based upon past experience,involved with 3 Military Investigations, all tape recorded, sent for transcribing there were numerous mistakes. How about you?

Well can't say I blame her, as many of the majority of the Committee have already proclaimed her a liar, and all he has to do is sit there and say I didn't do it!! She will have her life dissected by partisan politicians on TV. Can't imagine her wanting a simple thing like an investigation done before hand. The FBI investigated Clarence Thomas in 3 days.

But that is different than your statement that if anyone else knew, she must have told, and therefore is a liar. Any number of people could have told.

She has been offered a private hearing, but you cant come out and jump directly into the hottest political fray in the country and expect to be treated like a newborn. And why arent you concerned about Kavenaugh? He is being called a liar and a rapist and having his good reputation dragged through the mud by a person who refuses to come forward and confront him directly.

Well, I suppose there is not much difference between a therapist in a group or private practice and a military clerk doing the writing/word-processing, but there is a difference between transcribing audio and entering data into a software program.

As for the personal question, I'm the exact wrong person to ask because of how I earn my living. I worked as a temp while in grad school and did type up a lot of dictation (ah, the good old days of a floor pedal!), but I'm generally the last edit before submission/publication.

Which members of the Judiciary Committee have called Ford a liar? I've missed this.

Ford said she never told anyone until her marriage counseling in 2012.

Really? "many of the majority"? Tell me...exactly how many? Heck, can you even tell me what the number is that makes up the "majority"?

It's not that I'm calling you a liar, you understand. I just want to get some facts here.

No one on the committee has called her a liar. None will.

It was not only audio, and not a Military clerk who did the transcription. I was also reading documentation into the record and also provided hundreds of pages of documents which included ones I provided that I had read from, and marked accordingly for my files.
And there were hundreds of mistakes including names, dates, even years and who was present.

Your experience is based upon ones employed at a Grad school. High levels of accuracy is what I assume. And those that make mistakes on a regular basis are held to account

Now a therapist - making notes, sends tapes, notes for transcription. I would hazard a guess a lower standard of accuracy compared to what you are used to. Not by design, but based upon workload, the Dr. reads the notes, assumes they are correct, the patient does not see them and has no opportunity to correct errors.
 
It is not a matter that if were story isn't disproven she is a liar. The question is whether there is enough evidence to back up her story as other than she says so.

It is notable not only does she give NO specifics, she also has never sworn to anything she has said, including not her written letter. Everything possible has been done to protect from any possible perjury accusation and everything done possible to deny Kavanaugh any ability to provide an alibi.

NO DA and no police department would touch a case when the accuser doesn't know - or refuses to say - when or where it happened, doesn't know how she left and refuses to sign a sworn statement. NONE.
