Imvestigations are started using probable cause that has been verified. It's in the 4th Amendment, if you have any questions.

The FBI then plants a story in the Media that offers up details on the resulting warrant, and then uses that story as the pretext to conduct interviews and widen the investigation

It is corruption beyond measure. The texts are blatant roadmaps for the abuse of power.
The whole process and phony FISA of the Strzok led counterintelligence investigation is an (un)worthy Deep State conspiracy; including Brennan of the CIA.

So what's gonna happen? Probably not much. The Dems take over the House and squash investigations,
while the MS press never had any investigative interest in this massive cross-agency scandal.
They got exposed, but they got away with it too

Watergate was about election tampering involving some ex employees of the CIA conducting a third rate break in at the offices of the opposition political party during a presidential election and the resulting cover up to hide the crimes employing the use of government power and the access of their office(s).

The current mess is about election tampering involving currently employed agents of the DOJ and FBI using government power and the access of their office(s) to first affect the outcome of an election and now to overthrow a legally elected President.

Where is my understanding not sober? Far beyond sober, I am pretty much appalled by the whole thing and the partisan tribalism that seems to make half of the country willfully blind to the whole stinking cesspool.

The same multiple tiered legal system that sets Hillary free is putting young Black men in jail and the young Black men are supporting the folks that run the system.

Now THAT is a successful marketing campaign!
