Ratings started dropping at such a rate, and more, long before the protests.

Attendance and revenue remains up. Record contracts continue.

No, Nick Foles is running the Eagles. If the Patriots played against The Saints and it would have had an enormous audience.

Is Obama running the NFL now? Sure seems like it.

The NFL had its best year for revenue last year, so it clearly was not Trump running it...

The NFL is doing great....But it appears a few angry bigoted old white men aren't tuning in..............**** 'em

Could you imagine being so triggered you hoped for an entire sport to fail?

Link... when you are losing fans, you are losing your revenue base.

Broadcast views != total views, nor revenue. It helps to know what you are talking about...

Some people allow politics to influence everything they do. We call these people "partisan hacks." As for me, I'll be watching football with a big bucket of Chik-fil-A.

You are not an NFL fan, are ya Zim, color me shocked.
GO COWBOYS, GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!

This thread is dumb. This was a Thursday night game. During the work week - that was delayed due to weather. So that is one factor. Another would be that with so many viewing options more and more people are only watching their team play and then watching things like red zone and fantasy channels that jump between games. The viewers aren't tuning out - they are just tuning in to watch in other ways. The NFL is pumping along nicely and is one of the most profitable businesses in the world.

Quoting zimmer...

Seems this dude is doing more than "running". He's also planning to campaign for a few liberal/Demos. Does anyone know everything this dude touches turns into crap ?

liberal/Demo run networks makes it look like they are making money. The commercials are getting longer by adding more in order to make ends meet. There are more unnecessary time outs before a third down play just to have a commercial or two in order to boost revenue for NFL,liberal/Demo run networks and advertisers as well. I go in the kitchen and find something to snack on,otherwise I sit and watch a Kia commercial.

They are making billions. Hilarious

Are you guys really this stupid and naive?

Yes...they are still making money right now because of OLD TV contracts

Wonder what happens when the new contracts have to be negotiated?

Do you think plummeting ratings will make a difference?

Stadium revenue is also not as grandiose as you think....

The number of people on the waiting lists for season tickets is nothing now....it was 20k people long 10 years ago in Washington DC for Redskin tickets

And lastly...the concussion and brain CTE lawsuits could be devasting to their war chests

I guarantee you the NBA, MLB, and NHL would LOVE to have whatever TV contract the NFL signs next. THEY MAKE BANK

The question is...will it be less or more than the current one

It is a simple question

And how much of a drop/increase will it be?

And finally what do you imagine that will do to players contracts?

It will be more. Guaranteed. Last year was the most revenue the NFL ever made. Despite the kneeling. LOL

Somehow, I just can't bring myself to give a crap about millionaires taking a knee and think that they are making some great sacrifice.

It is hard to day, but there is a good chance it will be larger. Big 4 sports are a huge portion of watched live shows on TV, plus the additional revenue from streaming them.
