MONTEZUMA, Iowa —A suspect is in custody in connection with the death of Mollie Tibbetts, according to authorities.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation confirmed Tuesday during a news conference that Cristhian Bahena Rivera, 24, is charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities confirmed Rivera entered the country illegally and is being held on a federal detainer.

“He actually tells us that he ran alongside of her or behind her. And then at one point, he tells us that Mollie grabbed ahold of her phone and says 'you need to leave me alone, I'm gonna call the police,’” Rahn said of the interview. “And then she took off running, he, in turn, chased her down. And then he tells us that at some point in time he blacks out and then he comes to near an intersection in which we believe he then placed Mollie.”

Rivera revealed to investigators that he became angry when Tibbetts took out her cell phone, according to court documents obtained by The Associated Press. He told authorities that he panicked and “blocked” his memory.

The suspect claimed he didn’t remember what happened next but later realized that he’d put Tibbetts’ in his truck after finding an earpiece from headphones in his lap, the documents said. He opened the trunk and noticed blood on the side of her head.

Everyone of those type people need to be deported back to Mexico. It's being said that E-Verify said he was legit. It failed. The Kenyan from Indonesia corrupted every agency of our government.

The founders were correct to exclude the children of foreign nationals from becoming President with the natural born citizen requirement.

Natural born citizens are naturally citizens because they cannot be anything else.

People born with multiple nationalities are precisely who the founders were excluding.

That's right and President Trump is doing something about it. That's part of what makes him such an awesome president.
 
It's a crying shame about Mollie Tibbetts.

The real reason Democrats are backing illegal immigration is for the votes. By now it has to be obvious to all that power for the Democrats with this new block of voters takes precedence over the blood, lives, and carnage wrought by illegal aliens on innocent American citizens. That terrorists arrive alongside the illegals from time to time also appears to be of little concern to them. The borders and sanctuary cities must be open for business. This callous disregard for American lives is a fitting reminder of their callous disregard for the innocent unborn. But this will not pass without God's notice. There will be a price to pay for it - whether here on earth or at the final Judgment. You can count on it.
