Trump says he could ‘run’ Mueller probe

Though possible, it is highly doubtful that such an event may come to pass.

The President was asserting a power that he claims to have. It sounds like a warning, if the investigation keeps going the way that it is, then Trump will dictate the investigation. If the president does make that move, next will come the articles of impeachment.

Power that he's already said he thought about and decided against. People getting their panties in a twist over his talking about a sheer postulation, is a waste of effort.

A Potus talking in this way is a madman. People defending him suggest they support him and the insane talk Trump is doing. The insane talk stems from an insane mind. The guy is a crackpot from the get-go.

Claims I have heard time and time again and yet have personally seen no actual, supporting evidence.

Did you just read his statement and then opt out his own reasoning. Just so your fragile agenda could survive the trip?

Missing a lot over there, you all are. Everything in fact. Trying to toss it over here to this side is the standard fare of failure. So I reiterate, people who suggest they support the Trump madness have turned down an alleyway with no exit -- where there's a wall only. Trump is all walls or dontcha know. Four of 'em in fact.

Too bad, I gave you a chance to at least try and prove yourself in this and you just spewed the same bile from before. With even less originality no less and that is saying something.

Trying always to toss it over here is failure in the absolute. It's a confirmation in fact. Neither are you or any of us in a position to be granting favors then issuing condemnations or dismissals when you yourself decide it suits you. You guys draw a lot of attention to yourselves, same as Trump does, to no good ends, purposes or intents. Better to contribute or present some analysis than it is to scold preceded by lecturing and posturing, thx anyway.

Trump wants to make America into Atlantic City.

Still more bile and no actual proof to your words.

You made a claim and I asked for proof. So do not paint you inability to accept your own failure as some sort of win.

It is frankly pathetic and I am getting tired of the lot of you continuing to do so.

I get aroused when a Rightwinger gets scolding and scalding. But never mind however as I reiterate instead that proof comes at the end, not at the beginning or somewhere in the middle. So it seems demanding the impossible can make one impatient not to mention frustrated. I'd also mentioned elsewhere that I make assertions and present analysis. Claims are for insurance adjusters.

The president asserted that he possessed the power to dictate. I do not know about you, but I find that to be proof that the president is an enemy of freedom and liberty. It is of no reassurance that Trump said "so far" as if saying so erases the claim that he made publicly. To be clear; the President asserts the power to control the judicial system. Trump clearly asserts the power to oversee any investigation. That assertion is nothing short of authoritarianism. It doesn't matter that the president claims that he wouldn't do that, it matters that he thinks that he can. Our freedoms and liberties are not the will of one man.

Again the President of our Constitutional Republic proclaimed that he had the power to personally control an investigation. Where in the US Constitution would that power come from? HINT: it does not exist. Trump is overstepping the US Constitution by making that claim. The President should be impeached over that claim. SO hold on to your panties things will be getting really bad for the president.

Mueller has said more than once that Trump is not under investigation. Trump should fire him and handle the investigation himself.

Its nothing but a political charade anyway

Yet you still insist on acting like a child.
I'm done holding your hand now.

Yet he did not.. You are arguing over a postulation that has not and by all means, will not come to be.

You are trying as hard as you can to take what he has said out of context and expand that idiocy to astronomical levels.

He technically has the power to do such a thing, yet even though he didn't mention the actions that would go into place for him to do so. Does not mean that those processes do not exist.

Your imagination is ruling your better judgment at this point. Do you not see that?

I love it when a Rightwinger talks down his nose. I can picture the reading glasses dripping perspiration. The contempt. The authoritarian trembling passion to dominate. So...

:kissass

The thread topic is Trump btw. Trump says he could and perhaps should or would run the justice system to include its investigations. The investigation Mueller is conducting of course. Trump says authorities musn't have the authority they have to get witnesses to flip, i.e., to cooperate with investigators. Sounds like Trump has a Cohen in his soup. In contrast, Manafort is Trump's guy -- Pauly Five Fingers. The one who never flips, unless it's a bird to the prosecutors.

Trump is yet another authoritarian who doesn't accept cooperation and who demands instead submission, obedience, contrition. To Trump and the Fanboyz there is only the subordinate-superordinate relationship. Nothing is collegial. It's entirely transactional and to the benefit of the one side only. Trump too is arbitrary and issues summary demands, same as virtually all of his perspiring Fanboyz.

The point is of course that being above the law and the Constitution means having to visit down below. Hard as it is to do for people who don't bend.

Because I am dominating you and your continue act of running from the actual discussion is pretty much proving it.

All I can say is that your ignorance must be complete bliss at this point.

Trump is the thread and topic and I've expressed myself clearly on 'em.

Trump is an authoritarian and so are His Fanboyz. The Trump Fanboys are American Conservatives, most Republicans and radicals who want the USA to be more like Putin's Russia than the other way around. This is so because these Americans have become what we once fought against, i.e., the fierce followers of a tyrant ruler. Hence the belief among many that after all is said and done and the smoke clears we need a second national reconstruction to make America safe for Americans who endorse the Constitution, live by it and who accept preserving the Constitution, protecting it, defending it. The post civil war reconstruction was soft as a grape kind, generous, forbearing. We'll not make the same mistake twice.

Again the danger is that the President believes that he has the power to be a dictator. I suspect that he will attempt to use the power that he believes that he has. That same power does not exist in the US Constitution. You seem to believe that it does so where is it?

I am not afraid of Trump using powers that do not exist and I encourage him to try. That would be grand and a wake up call to his supporters.

Once again more claims and bile with no substantial proof to back it up.

You are a broken record at this point.

(end of line)

Alright, let me put it like this. All of this wasted fear mongering over something that obviously will not happen is a horrible avenue to take. We had people all through the election period saying that he was going to be a fascist dictator, or send all of the homosexuals to death camps, or deport all immigrants (illegal or not) etc..etc

This tired game of chasing metaphor, or following after wordplay in general is getting old.

We've had no indication that he would even attempt such a thing in the first place.

All presidents have said things at the podium, or in an interview that can be blow out of proportion just as easily as this.

The posts one after the other demand proof at the beginning when as we know the proof comes at the end. I see in the post your end is up already.

Just wondering, but do all presidents lie almost every time they open their mouth?

My only horse in my criticisms of the President, is the fidelity of the Constitution. It is no different than my criticisms of Obama over what amounted to a living tax. I do not care if you are in love with trump, what he is doing to this fine nation is gross and should be the center of attention. Trump decreed that he can run an investigation personally. And not just any investigation, but an investigation involving him, his family and subordinates. His claim is entirely unethical and an action usually taken by authoritarian dictators alone. It just is not the American way for the President to make such claims. Every citizen should be offended and pissed at the President for acting unethical and not being what he promised in his oath and contract with every American. IMO Trump should be impeached for making the claim that he can run an investigation like this. Now if we add on top of that, all else that he has done...well where are the Republicans, why are they supporting this unethical abomination? It really makes them no better than the Democrats. And we would be better off if both parties dissolved.
