CNN, NYT And Other News Outlets Ask Manafort Judge To Release Jurors’ Names, Addresses

Given that the judge himself has had threats over this case, he's not about to put the safety of the jury in jeopardy.

Yeah, giving out their identities while having protection for himself would be a douchebag move. Sounds like he exercised the kind of judgement one would hope for from a judge.

Judge in Manafort trial says he's been threatened over case | Fox News

Even if that did not include addresses, in this day and age, it's no problem to connect addresses with names especially with all the means available to the media.

As to putting down information because one does not like the source: If the source directly quotes, then the source is irrelevant as long as the quote can be verified independently.

All I asked for was an independent verification and various posters on your side got their panties in a wad. Sorry, but if I don't trust a source I will say so. I really don't care how anyone feels about it.

The judge told them to go pound sand...but using nicer words.

Stupid media.

I am really glad judge Ellis chose not to release information on the jurors. If you have been following the coverage of this trial then you know the jurors have been asking some questions about reasonable doubt and other things that at this time look favorable for Manafort. And after that occurred the media was wanting information on the jurors.

It is really stupid for the media and anyone else to try and read tea leaves on what this jury will decide. But the media is well aware if Mueller's team loses this case then it will be a blow to the Mueller team.

If anyone thinks those jurors are not aware that Manafort for three months was head of Trump's campaign and was let go due to allegations of **** that happened a decade ago after media reports surfaced, that the plethora of accusations of Manafort were due to not paying taxes etc and are wondering why Mueller was involved in this investigation when it should have been turned over to the IRS...
there are jurors who know what they know and you can bet they are weighing it all in their deliberations even though the judge refused too let Trump be mentioned in the trial.

Mycroft I have served as a juror and I have to tell you it is really hard when you are faced with the fate of anyone in your hands. If I wasn't fully convinced that the person was guilty I just couldn't vote to convict them. And then there were times I didn't have a problem convicting someone if the prosecution had undeniable evidence.

Guess you did not understand. If you don't feel you trust the source, fine, but at least take the time to verify things stated are valid or not before blocking it all out.

Give a damn. Go to Google.

Not if they haven't checked out the article for themselves. Twice a day even a stopped clock is correct. Strangely, I thought you understood "intellectual rigor" and the need to check out facts for yourself before dismissing a source out of hand.

Respectable? :doh I offer no apology for Tucker Carlson's site or David Corn's either. And straight news is what it is. (Again, of course, you have to check out the information for yourself.) What's reported is either verifiable--although if it's a breaking news exclusive this could take excruciating hours--or it's not. I clicked on the link, and then I Googled, and what do you know? Other news outlets had also reported it.

But carry on. The Daily Caller is a conservative outlet and therefore "garbage." No need to click a link or read an article; just dismiss it instantly.

:rock
