Penn Jillette Says He Heard Donald Trump Say ‘Racially Insensitive Things’

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entr...trump-racial-slur_us_5b7307cee4b03d52e490eb2e

The magician said every 10 minutes with Trump on “The Celebrity Apprentice” was like “fingernails on chalkboard.”

Magician Penn Jillette said he heard Donald Trump say “racially insensitive things” on the set of “The Celebrity Apprentice” that he guessed were caught on tape.

Jillette, who appeared on the show in 2012, told Vulture he believes “Celebrity Apprentice” producer Mark Burnett would have captured outtakes of Trump, then a star of the reality TV series.

“He would say racially insensitive things that made me uncomfortable,” Jillette said of Trump.
========================================
I'm shocked that a veteran NYC real estate developer who grew up in the city's rough construction trades would ever say anything that was considered racially 'insensitive.' Crude, perhaps. Regrettable (if caught on film), definitely.

May be Mueller should subpoena Mark Burnett & all those film out takes.

When did you stop caring about collusion with the Russians?

I got to meet Penn and Teller in March after their amazing show in Vegas. I really like the guy, and his podcast is great. He talked a lot back then about how crazy Trump is, way before the campaign.

They are both great people. I've never met anyone who could change the camera settings on literally every model phone (one at a time, not as part of the show) as Teller can, and he takes the picture.

I give Penn a lot of credence to what he said, but racially insensitive covers a lot of terms.

Is it? Can you share your inside information on how it is falling apart?

Is it? Can you share your inside information on how it is falling apart?

It's not about inside information. The "inside" is going after Trump hammer and tong, and as far as anyone knows is ignoring evidence to the contrary which it popping up in the news media every day. Mueller's job was not to "get" Trump, but to investigate whether or not Trump was working on behalf of the Russians during the campaign and present a report to congress.

True Mueller is not saying much, but he should not be allowed to be silent while he ignores the media incidentally tarring the president for political reasons because, well, Mueller is "silent", so only leakers of truth or lies are talking. Mueller owes the nation accountability since he is greatly influencing the functioning of the government by his silence.

And so far the only corruption seems to be in the FBI, the Obama justice department, and the Clinton Machine, yet that is ignored my Mueller - As far as we know.

That's the scary part. A very large part of me hopes that if he is on tape calling a black contestant the N-word that it never comes out because it will show that almost none of his supporters will care. There's not a whole lot I can think of to further divide the country to any significant degree. But that's one thing that very likely could.

Unfortunately I have to agree.

For FAR TOO MANY in that bunch...

This is their level of gullibility:

The revelation that Trump spewed a stream of racially charged epithets worthy of censure even by Archie Bunker would be utterly meaningless to them.
But rest assured, those outtakes will come out. They might come out after he leaves office, but they're going to be released someday.

Yeppers...

But we know exactly what this is all about. Democrats still can't accept the fact the cackling cankle lost the election.

Their badly bruised egos have not yet recovered. they were certain that crooked Hillary was going to humiliate Trump on election night.

I love the way Penn described him before the election.
Penn has always been pretty direct about how he feels about Trump and frankly, when it comes to Trump as a person, I tend to agree with Penn completely. I also agree with his position on why he wont specifically address what his memory holds as to what was actually said.

Exactly “as far as we know” Meuller is keeping mum as he should. Trump and Giuliani are doing their best to discredit Meuller. What are they afraid of? We’ll find out when its over.

Same here. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Omorosa or Tom Arnold lied for the attention and potential money they can generate from it. But I have followed Penn for decades and such a lie would be VERY out of character for him. So I believe him until shown otherwise. Not that it would make any difference if Trump DID get caught saying such things on tape.
You are right in a lot of ways. You are right in that it wont matter at all to some if he said it. You are also right in that it wont matter to others if he never said it. I think it will matter to some of the people in the black American community that are leaning towards supporting him due to the economic gains and I certainly think it would matter if he runs in 2020...which I have always said...he shouldnt and I really doubt he will, especially if the economy continues to boom and he can declare his presidency an unmitigated success.

It wont matter to me. One...I have said forever...I think the man is a douchebag personally so if its true, this wouldnt change that. Two...I still support the office of the presidency and want to see him succeed because I want to see the country succeed. And three...it wont matter to me because I know that if in the gravest extreme Trump should be removed and we would have President Pence, the same people that are venting and responding out of their sheer hatred, will simply reload and go after Pence with the same vigor, just as they would go after whoever Pence might name as a new VP.

Until he has actually committed a high crime and misdemeanor, I will continue to support the office of the president. Didnt vote for him, wont even if he does run in 2020...but I support "the president".

Yeah, they stay after every show and take pictures and autographs, it was pretty cool. Over a few months time, we got to meet Carol Burnett (long story), Penn & Teller, Gilbert Gottfried and Dweezil Zappa. Cool stuff....

They are afraid of the FBI getting away with their participation in trying to engineer a coup.

The Stormy thing fell off the news...
So they fell back to the Russian thing, which is still nowhere....
So they decided to give his immigration policies a shot. That generated a little poo-poo but ended up creating stupidity in the form of #AbolishICE and "'get in the face of' Trump officials in public places"...
And then Omarosa, who had zero credibility to start off with, tried to start something to make money off a book, but that's falling flat...

The Anti-Trumpets keep flinging **** at Trump in the hopes that something will stick. Most of the time it ends up flying back at them and other times they just plain miss like Imperial Stormtroopers.

And then Omarosa, who had zero credibility to start off with, tried to start something to make money off a book, but that's falling flat...

Its amazing how many people trump hires that he proclaims as amazing people that are later called liars and dishonest and vile names. Then after all that you act as though his opponents fault that omorosa is in the news lol. Shes in the news because dumbass in chief hired her as a top tier whitehouse staffer and is so clueless and doesnt give a **** about national security that he let a " zero credibility loser dog" walk around the west wing with a ****ing tape recorder. Its no ones fault but his.

If Trump was innocent, he should be waiting for Mueller to exonerate him instead of all the name calling , lawyers & demands that the probe be terminated a year short of the Bengazhi hearings which produced nothing. What's Trump obviously afraid of? Why are the Russians suing to end the Mueller probe?

My opinion of of the Manafort case is that Trump wll not pardon him. If he does, Manafort will be open game for a Mueller grand jury to dig into the murky early stages of the Trump campaign as he will not have the luxury of taking the 5th. IOW, he'll have to spill his guts & Trump would not want that.

Donald Trump Pardons: How a Pardon Could Backfire | Time

Under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, Americans are protected against self-incrimination, but people who have been pardoned are no longer under any legal jeopardy, Harvard Law School Professor Laurence Tribe told TIME.

Anyone pardoned by Trump would lose most of the 5th Amendment’s protection against compelled testimony that might otherwise have incriminated the pardoned family member or associate, making it much easier for DOJ and Congress to require such individuals to give testimony that could prove highly incriminating to Trump himself,” Tribe said in an email.

Still, that could lead to another constitutional standoff, if the recipients of the Trump pardons refused to testify before Congress. Mark Osler, a University of St. Thomas Law School professor who has written about the president’s pardon powers, said Congress might respond by holding them in contempt, leading to a second pardon.

Remember Trump fired Penn Jillette not once but twice!
It's been very rocky since that happened.

With regard to the image with the racial "slur", it's a black guy holding that board and he is allowed to use the N-word. So, what's your problem?!?

"... It was not an uncommon sight for Tampa residents. Local provocateur Tony Daniel was standing on a street corner Friday, megaphone and racist sign in hand.
...
Daniel, a black man, is known for his race-baiting, often targeting African-Americans. His pickup truck displays Confederate and Nazi flags and racial slurs. His repertoire extends beyond signs. Earlier this year, in large part because of Daniel, the Tampa City Council changed its rules to ban vulgar, threatening speech at its meetings.
...
A motorist captured Friday’s encounter on video, which was reviewed by the Tampa Bay Times. It initially shows Daniel, accompanied by a woman in a red dress, holding a sign, nearly as tall as he, that says, "Homeless (N------) go back to Africa." On the back side was another racist slur. ..."

The “However bad you think he is, he’s worse” quote is from 2016. Jillette isn't just now speaking out against Trump. He hasn't made it his job to be in the news every day attacking Trump, but he hasn't just now come out with criticism of Trump for the first time. With past Apprentice contestant Omarosa speaking about what happened on the Apprentice set, his experience is newly relevant.
