NYT: Trump ‘Seized On’ Strzok’s Biased Text Messages

Ah...so either the FBI lacks credibility because they cave to "Tweet pressure" or they have integrity and the handling of the Hillary and Trump investigations are all on the level. Hmmmm…..which one is it? Choices, choices...

I'll take "to hell in a hand basket" for 500 please.

Rabid? Yeah disingenuous characterizations are your currency, Don't lecture us on bias

Strzok criticize just about everybody in his text but that little fact seems to be omitted the people that are on the right who are extremely biased and clueless about the corruption of this Administration. We've got a corrupt president whose brain is in the gutter taking America into an abyss of iniquity a veritable swamp of swamp creatures and you are concerned about those who are trying to protect America. Everyone's got an opinion and it's not a crime to have an opinion. Where the rubber hits the road is if the FBI agent is not letting his own personal feelings get in the way of his work. if you have evidence of that please provide it.

It's not about hating Trump it's about contempt. Hatred is irrational. contempt is based on observations of words and deeds, its moral and just. Trump deserves our contempt, he is the worst president in history, he is an incompetent scumbag. His administration is the most corrupt and incompetent Administration in recent history and Trump poses a threat to National Security.

Strzok was a rabid Trump hater and was taking action against him long before there was a Trump administration.

Yes, rabid. No reading of his texts could be lead someone to a different characterization.

Where the rubber hits the road is if the FBI agent is not letting his own personal feelings get in the way of his work. if you have evidence of that please provide it.

His own words are evidence. He specifically stated he would do something to harm Trump/Trump's campaign

Actually, it really is just about hating Trump. No more, no less. I don't know what rock you've been hiding under since the campaign season but, please, keep providing ample examples proving me correct.

The title over Strzok's support in news headlines should be FBI gangster: hypocrisy is thy name!

It's obvious this criminal, Strzok, has a certain type he likes in women, ever see his wife.
Not pretty but hard looking and probably as devious as he is. Lisa is not a looker but for
sure is an improvement on that wife.

Lying to the FBI should not be a crime anymore considering how seditious and duplicitous they are. The compass needle is turning. Yup, the Obama FBI is slowly going away, one crooked bias traitor at a time...

Yeah; Comey and McCabe thought that, too ... ha ha ha

By the way - In January is was "revealed" that Strzok had hired one of the most expensive lawyers in DC: David Boies.
Does anybody believe $150,000 is gonna get Strzok anything?!?
Besides, Strzok's wife makes more than $200,000 per year.
Yeah, I can certainly see how the case can be made that the FBI felt pressure from Swampy and fired Strzok to appease him. Adding to my belief is that the FBI IG suggested a more lenient action, typical in these situations.

Yes, rabid. No reading of his texts could be lead someone to a different characterization.

.

Rabid means frothing at the mouth with a disease. Look, the very word wreaks of your own bias.

How about being "passionate in his feelings", that's another fair characterization, but don't leave it to repubs to give anyone on the left the benefit of the doubt or call a glass half full, eh?

Everyone is entitled to opinions, and if you can demonstrate Strzok allowed his personal feelings to effect his work, please provide the evidence, because I'm sure the IG would love to know, you know, the guy who investigated the situation for months and DID NOT find any evidence his work was affected.

The bottom line is that you guys are desperate and you will grasp at any straw the furthers your pro trump agenda oblivious to the fact he is an incompetent russian asset ( I think Russian's call him a "useful idiot" ) who is a traitor to this country.

There are a number of things he could be indicted for, but I hope he's indicted for using the FBI and the FBI's capabilities for corrupt, political purposes. Misleading the FISA Court would fall under that crime. He could also be indicted for mishandling classified information, leaking classified, confidential or sensitive information to the media. There's more.
While some of those are indeed crimes, it's a long stretch to show that Strzok committed a crime. The FISA claim is laughable. There is no evidence that the court was mislead and this has been aired widely. What classified materials were mishandled by Strzok? What classified information did he leak?

What Strzok did was Tweet, on an FBI phone, uncomplimentary statements about Trump -- which aren't {yet} crimes. Using an official phone for this is not a crime but a rule violation. Mueller removed him from the investigation to remove any hint of bias.

If trump hadn't gotten involved there wouldn't be the spectre of political pressure in the decision to fire Strzok. But here we are. This is why Presidents try to stay removed from ongoing investigations and the internal affairs of the DOJ. Whatever the case, now Strzok can afford to defend himself.

We already have too many people removed from the infestigation. It's now clear that Sessions made a huge mistake in letting Rosenstein take charge of this clearly biased infestigation. There are nothing but liberals doing the infestigating.

Those removed from the Investigation would NOT have been removed in 1974. Those were not Banana Republicans then, as we have now. #45 will be removed 44 years later.

Those who have opposed Pence/Kasich 2018, on both bastardized sides, have already received their reward. They will be infinitesimally minimized as our Healing Nation moves Forward with our Future.

No it doesn't. You just don't understand the definition of words.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/rabid

Definition of rabid

1 a : extremely violent : furious
b : going to extreme lengths in expressing or pursuing a feeling, interest, or opinion ·rabid editorials ·a rabid supporter

2 : affected with rabies

You see...you want to use only the #2 definition and leave out 1.b, which fits the description of his texts perfection. It's not a matter of exposing my bias, it's a matter of factual observation and also understanding and using words in their proper definition.

Everyone is entitled to opinions, and if you can demonstrate Strzok allowed his personal feelings to effect his work, please provide the evidence, because I'm sure the IG would love to know, you know, the guy who investigated the situation for months and DID NOT find any evidence his work was affected.

No one said people couldn't be passionate. So far as what Strzok did or did not do, we have his own words stating that he would take action. We also now have him being fired, which doesn't happen to someone of his level and years without there being serious problems.

The bottom line is that you guys are desperate and you will grasp at any straw the furthers your pro trump agenda oblivious to the fact he is an incompetent russian asset ( I think Russian's call him a "useful idiot" ) who is a traitor to this country.

Go ahead and stick with your Russia puppet master theory. I'm sure it's going to work out for you. So far as traitor to the country, such a strange thing for a traitor to do to have the lowest unemployment rate across all demographics, have high GDP growth, have high wage growth, ect. ect.

We already have too many people removed from the infestigation. It's now clear that Sessions made a huge mistake in letting Rosenstein take charge of this clearly biased infestigation. There are nothing but liberals doing the infestigating.

Except, of course, for the pesky little fact that the IG found no bias.

And the people doing the investigating are quite clearly led by and comprised of conservatives.

Facts are fun!

Aside from the three Republicans looking over the investigation, you mean.

"Infestigation"? Did you make that up all by yourself?

Pence/Kasich? I doubt that contingent could not even beat an OcasioCortez/Strzok movement. Where did you get that Pence/Kasich stuff. Pence is fine but Kasich was about as bad as any of the 16 Trump whupped
in the 2016 primaries. Only thing people remember about Kasich is that his father was a postman.

Nevertheless, RAbid has a very negative connotation, and no way are we "violent" in our passion, and my comment with that adjustment still stands.

It was a text, comments are fleeting, byi his own admission he said he was juyst trying to calm her down. But, of course, you want give him the benefit of the doubt. Moreover, there is no proof that he allowed his feelings to affect his job. The firing was political, and you know it. He wold NOT have been fired if he weren't under the constant harassement by the president.

The upward trajectory for this economy took 8 years of effort by Obama, and continued to grow into Trump's presidency. It would have done the same no matter who was president. But, a bad president can kill it, in time. Let's see where the tariffs and Trump's soaring deficits take this economy by the end of Trump's term. Hell, not even one fiscal year has passed for Trump ( doesn't end until Sept) . There is no way in hell you can give that much economic credit to a president in that short of time. Your logic wanes.

Yes, Trump is incompetent, a fool, a moron, a scumbag, and a traitor.

All rolled into one.

No...it doesn't stand. Definition 1.b. makes no mention of violence.

He fits that to a T. Many people on this board fit that to a T. I've seen many people, who I know are intelligent, that have just completely lost it and make barely any coherent sense because of their hatred for Trump.

Except Lisa Page's testimony to Congress seems to have contradicted his. It was also part of a pattern of behavior/attitude over a period of time. So far as the firing, that's just not how it works. You don't just get fired from the FBI, especially someone of his rank and experience, without there being something there. He was already demoted twice.

A fool? Maybe. Scumbag? Eh...that can even float to a degree. His personal character is not good. Traitor? Nope. It's just not there, and it never will be.

I think it's almost 400K now.

I'm reminded of how the Nunes memo and the IG report were going to sink the FBI, Mueller, the Deep State, etc. Oh, and wasn't McCabe supposed to be indicted as well?

It's not unreasonable to think that Strzok can make the case that his firing was politically motivated due to Trump's need to incessantly rage-tweet against him, thus putting political pressure on the FBI to fire him. And now he'll be able to afford to make that case since he's raised over $127,000 on Gofundme.

As of now, it's up to 418,382

Oooh, “infestigation.” How droll.

“Nothing but liberals!” You guys will make up anything to protect Dear Leader.

No, I had a team of experts help.
