Omarosa Says Trump "Truly Is a Racist" on 'Meet the Press'

So who do you prefer: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

I voted for Hillary but it was not a vote "for her" but "against Trump"

Nonetheless, to this day I do believe she would have done less harm than Trump has done.

It is hilarious that the big criticism of Hillary was her non-government server and the 30,000 lost emails and yet several of Trump's cabinet members have done the same identical thing. Trump himself has given the Russians top secret information in a public way. Talk about true Hypocrisy.

Hillary would have been one more run-of-the-mill Presidents that we have had so many of. Trump is the scourge of all the Presidents we have ever had and will ever have. No comparison there.

I voted for Trump because #NeverHillary. That's what the American election system has done to this country. I disagree with Hillary doing less harm, as well as your incorrect claim about Trump's cabinet and giving Russians top secret information but that's a debate for another thread.

If there's a tape then I won't believe a word she says until there's solid evidence. She's selling her wares and is going to milk this for what it's worth. In the meantime I'll remain skeptical; do I doubt he said it? Nope, but I'm not taking her word for it.

Omarosa cuts off 'Today' appearance, tells Savannah Guthrie to 'calm down' during bizarre interview

Omarosa cuts off 'Today' appearance, tells Savannah Guthrie to 'calm down' during bizarre interview | Fox News

Omarosa Manigault-Newman appeared irritable and fumed at Savannah Guthrie before abruptly cutting off an appearance on NBC’s “Today” show on Monday morning, claiming she had another interview to get to minutes after proclaiming, “I’ve got all the time you need.”

Manigault-Newman was on the morning show to share a recording of a conversation she says she had with President Trump the day after she was fired by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly. Guthrie began the interview by playing the recording and plugging Manigault-Newman’s new book, “Unhinged,” but things quickly turned awkward.

Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard....
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 13, 2018

Guthrie asked the former “Apprentice” star if Trump was lying in a tape that was played seconds earlier, but Manigault-Newman wanted to talk about a different topic and started asking rhetorical questions about why Kelly allegedly mistreated her. She also focused on Trump saying “they” run a big operation at the White House.

Guthrie tried to take charge of the chat, but Manigault-Newman barked back, “I’ll get to the second part.”

Guthrie then attempted to ask a follow-up question, but Manigault-Newman shot it down.

Thanks for reading, Buzz, and keeping an open mind. That's why I appreciate you, man, even though it always seems to be the path of broken glass we have to take before we arrive here...hehe... ;)

The question you've asked is very complicated in some ways, very simple in others. I mean, I could say racism, and that would be correct, but that word encapsulates so many harmful practices and patterns, compounded over generations, to where it's a whole bunch of things.

That said, I'm actually leaving for home in the next 5 minutes...arg...lol... I wanted to acknowledge your post, but I'm going to have to finish this thought another time. But since you're willing to do the research, which I admire, I'm going to do something and post a Wikipedia entry.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_inequality_in_the_United_States

The reason I linked to it is because it is well cited, and gives you the whole summary, with notes where to look if you want to dig deeper. I would love to hear your thoughts on this, either here or in PM.

Sorry for the weak finish, bud...timing was against us on this one. :) Berate me bad enough, and I'll take another stab at it... hehe

Good post.

There are many causes, including years of home ownership, household income, unemployment, and education, but inheritance might be the most important
We can debate this one forever.
But here's the bottom line with me...personally.

I left my family and their traditional home of Alberta (yes they all still live there...) because I wanted more than what Calgary had to offer, and wanted to create my own "heritage". That likely sounds a bit presumptuous to you, but it is what it is. I came here with 1 year of community collage, and a sense of challenge. I got married, we had spawn, and I bought property. The property values in Toronto have gone insane, and have guaranteed my retirement, and will ensure my spawn will be comfortable.

No inheritance whatsoever. No help, other than the values taught to me by my parents and upbringing. EVERY CHILD BORN in either Canada or the USA, have the same potential as I had, and still have. The potential to turn hard work and a strong sense of family, into real wealth. I've been so down and out, at times in my life, that I learned to make gourmet spaghetti and ketchup. I do know what it is to be completely desperate.

And that is why I simply cannot accept the idea that some "institutional racism" TODAY, or even in the last 30 years, even exists. It's a cop-out. A cheap excuse for laziness and defeatism. Those are metal health issues. Not racial issues.

The strength of, and the unity of the family unit, cannot be over stated.

Re: Omarosa Says Trump "Truly Is a Racist" on 'Meet the Press'

I was born in 70 and always thought it started with my group.

I really thought i was the start of the whole slacker thing. I thought the whole generation was named after me

Its kind of a let down finding out differently

I feel like I maybe understand your attitude, Buzz. I was raised with much the similar work ethic and belief. I understand the value of work, I have been both well off and broke AF. As a family we were very close and looked after each other. My grandparents on my Dad's side moved here from Germany after the war, my grandparents on my Mom's side were fourth or fifth generation Protestant Canadians, with roots in Germany, England, and Scotland, there's a good mix of "old country" and oldschool Canadian traditionalism in my growing up.

I guess it's that I do value hard work that I can empathize with people who both say, and are backed up by statistics, that they cannot expect to get the same out of life by putting in the same quality and quantity of work as me. To a much lesser extent, I can understand that frustration, if I consider the difference in ease of achievement between generations - my grandparents and parents had it easier than I did, in terms of what it took to survive, and the quality of life they achieved. And I'm a gen X-er, God help the millennials. When the statistics support the notion that certain marginalized demographics experience disparity, it means that for each of those statistics there is a person that is having a harder go of it than I am, simply because they belong to that demographic, not mine. When you move away from the statistics, and try to imagine that on a personal level, it makes it difficult, for me, to ignore...and my values are such, because of that same upbringing that taught me my work ethic, that I want to see that fixed. Not just for one race or the other, but everyone. The first step is acknowledging that there's a difference, which should be easy given the statistical data, and then try to figure out why.

Anyway, bud...not sure if we're done with this chat, but thanks for it, I always appreciate how you can keep things calm. I tend to throw around big statements, that's part of the fun of it, but I always know I'm talking to a guy I could have a beer with. Have a good one man.

What was discussed has no bearing on what the situation room is for. I doubt there is a case there.

I'm betting her unauthorized recording in a SCIF will be investigated.

That is a whole different issue than what I was responding to. We’ll see where this goes now.

Well, in that case then let the Fake News flourish and lets not depend on anyone for Truth, much less a man like Trump.

Nice sidestep.:applaud

I won't be surprised if she gets a knock on her door and it's the FBI calling on a early morning raid to take
all her phones and computers to search them for classified information. Who knows what she may have been
recording in the SCIF!

Apparently she was down there with Ret Gen Kelly, recording him.
