When their skin color is their choice, they are open for mockery.
Well, if it's a nice little old lady who thinks she looks good with too much red make-up on, then it would be wrong to mock her even though that is her choice. But Trump's skin color is his choice, and he is not nice. He makes fun of the appearance of others who look a whole lot better than him, and it's pretty rank of you to compare making fun of his spray tan to actual racism.

According to the general manager of the Delaware County Fairground, Trump's event organizer wanted a venue that could hold 2,500 people. Theirs could only hold 1,500. ..."
